Ok, I was watching the MTV Big Urban Myth Show the other day, and I heard that the guy and girl from this band are not brother and sister, but that they used to be married. Are they serious?

Personally I don't see what all the fuss is about them. I think they are highly overrated.
And they ARE brother and sister - they've never been married! That's why this story was on MTV's Urban Myths - cos the story about them being married is an urban myth!!
They look so like each other - they're definately related!

I saw it too, and I thought MTV was trying to prove they HAD been married. Becuz they showed marriage papers and claimed that the guy took her maiden name.
I read an article in Rolling Stone that said they're divorced and not brother and sister.

I guess that I'm the minority, but I love the White Stripes. I always thought that they were related. They look alike, but before they were known, I remember seing something on MTV2 about up and comming groups or something and it think that I remember hearing something about Jack White and his ex-wife in the band.

I love The White Stripes, too. I like the late '60s, early '70s garage rock feel they have. And I also think it's VERY cool they record exclusively on analog equipment!

I can't stand The White Stripes.
What's interesting is that when Jack Gillis married Meg White, he took her last name. He retained it even after their divorce.
