Have any of you seen it? I love it. I think Mel Gibson is great in it. It's one of my favorite movies, and the soundtrack by John Williams is wonderful too.

Thoughts on the movie?

I loved The Patriot. It was really sad when Mel Gibson's wife died, and I couldn't believe the son died in the end. He was so nice and handsome.
I hope I have my facts straight. I see so many movies that they start to blend in my mind, and I saw this movie when it first came out.
Mel's character had a real mean enemy in the movie, right?

Yup, your correct. Mel Gibson's enemy was General Tavington, the guy who shot Thomas (one of Ben Martin's sons) in the beginning, killed Gabriel (the handsome son played by Heath Ledger), then he burned the church with Ann and her family inside of it. Finally at Yorktown, Ben killed him.

I haven't seen it, since I'm not allowed to and it's R...but Heath Ledger's a hottie!!!

I love this movie! I dont know why i dont have it on dvd yet. It was so sad when they burned down the church :( . There were a few parts where I had to close my eyes, but I wont say because I dont know how many people didnt see the movie yet. But, it is so good!!

It's basically rated R because of the fighting and blood in it. Other than that, it's not bad.

I love that movie! Mel Gibson is an awesome actor. I thought it was sad when the guy saw his wife and son had been killed.....I wanted to cry for him

This was a very sad movie. I was very surprised when two of his sons died. and when his little girl wouldn't talk to him or anybody for that matter and was all mad at him...that performance was really good.

It's a very good movie. It's not one of my favorites, but I'd recomend it.
