It was hard, but he five I voted for were Facs of Life, Diff'rent Strokes, Silver Spoons, Who's The Boss, and Soap. The first two would be definantaly awesome as season sets, since they already have a best of sort of thing on VHS. Uncut 80's sitcoms, sigh...:D

I had to base my votes on rarity, which made it a little easier for me to pick. I'll re-post my list and say why I picked these shows:
1. Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman - I put this show at number 1 because it is just so extremely rare. We were very lucky to see it on TV Land but only aired the first 30 or 40 episodes.
2. Silver Spoons - Another one that is super rare. Nick at Nite treated it horribly and was on very few syndicated markets for a while (now it's not airing anywhere).
3. One Day at a Time - Yet another ultra rare gem. It hasn't been seen on TV since '98 or '99 on E! I think it's lack of television exposure makes it deserving of being released to DVD soon.
4. Diff'rent Strokes
5. The Facts of Life
I'm grouping these two together. I feel these are deserving of DVD releases because they both have so many die hard fans. Like Silver Spoons, I think these shows were treated horribly by N@N.

I know I've already replied to my post, but I only posted 3 of my choices. Okay, I really and truly voted for:
1. The Facts of Life
2. Diff'rent Strokes
3. TJ Hooker
4. Bewitched
5. I Dream of Jeannie
Of course I absolutely love FOL and DS. I had to vote for them. I've never seen TJ Hooker, but I'm doing it for Shatner. ;) Bewitched and Jeannie, I used to really enjoy. Haven't really watched either in a long time, but they were wild card choices.

2) "I Dream of Jeannie" (139 episodes, 5 seasons)
3) None
4) None
5) None
Basically, "Bewitched" and Jeannie are the ONLY ones on that list that I really want to own. The rest aren't my "type" of sitcoms. Anyways . . . I would love to have them is SEASON SETS.
Man, I just wish "The Lucy Show" was included in that list. Darn. ::sigh: Better luck next time.

*scratches head* The picture they showed next to Route 66 was of the two doofuses from the second version in 93. That show was so bad that it only lasted 4 episodes. You can't tell me they want to put that on DVD.

I'm so glad that Newsradio is coming to DVD. I haven't seen it for several months.

My Thoughts:
NewsRadio - This is my all-time favorite show. So of course, I'm glad that it's coming to DVD. My copies off of A&E are starting to wear out, plus syndication cut out alot of my favorite scenes.
The Tick - I liked this show. I taped it off of FOX. However, since it only had nine episodes, I woud have prefered another series. I did vote for this one, though. But I had no idea it would win.
Dilbert - I have never seen this cartoon before. But I'll buy it. I would have prefered one of the other shows to come out, though.
Soap - I'll buy it, but I'm not really excited about it coming out. This one I really didn't think had a chance of winning in the poll.
I was really shocked overall with the picks. Although "NewsRadio" is my favorite show, I did not have much faith it would win. I hope all of the shows in the poll come out someday. Chances are, I'd buy most of those. I'd really like for "One Day at a Time" to come out.

I was pretty shocked by the picks too. All "new" stuff. The Tick. It's odd that they would release the live action series, it didn't last very long... But, it's true, it all is (I never doubted TVAdam, but FINALLY found news about it)
From The Futon Critic
Meanwhile, thanks to poll on Columbia TriStar Home Video's web site, the company plans to release "The Tick," "Soap," "Newsradio," "Dilbert" and several others on DVD later this year. Over 30 series were offered as options in a poll opened back in February and those four were the top vote getters. Specific details about the releases were not mentioned however look for additional news in the coming months.

Well at least this is something to look forward to. It's just stupid the way they're putting these newer shows on DVD. They should start in the 50's to 60's and work their way up. That way, you don't have to wait longer for one series to come out on DVD than the other. There have been a lot of shows that have been tossed from network to network or aired for a short time or not at all. Oh well, good things come to those who wait.

Adamantium

I voted for "Ned & Stacey". I didn't think it was popular enough. I guess since Debra Messing was in the show, maybe they feel it might do well.
"Mary Hartman" didn't make it to the new list, yet "Action" did? "Action" only had like 9 episodes (or 10 or maybe even less than that). MHMH had 325. Well anyway, if it were on the list, it'd be #1 choice. It made new episode five days a week, and between it's two seasons, there was a VERY brief break. I think they should release the show 35 episodes at a time. That would put out ten different sets. But really, I would only want them to put out every single episode if they were going to put it out. I mean, some shows I've noticed only have the first one or two seasons out. I want to be sure that I'd be able to get all 325 episodes, and possibly all 160 episodes of the sequel series "Forever Fernwood."
But anyways, ranting over. My choices from the new list are...
1) "Hart to Hart" (Only five seasons, so it'd be pretty easy)
2) "The Facts of Life"
3) "Diff'rent Strokes"
4) "The Flying Nun" (Has Sally Field starpower)
5) "Maude"
Just realized that you can only pick one show...well I picked HTH.

Yes, I think it is possible to vote in the poll more than once but I guess on seperate computers, and you can only vote for one show. You can also alternate between shows when you've voted again; like you've done for example.
Here are my top five choices in the poll:
1. The Facts of Life
2. Maude

4. One Day at a Time
