Omygosh what if you were auditiononing in there and simon said like you suck and like a dog can sing better then you and stuff. Isn't that very mean I mean your trying your hardest and this is what you get. I know he's doing his job but hold on.. he's way to tough on pople and make them not feel as good that's not what's he's supposed ta' do.

Sure he is very tough but if somebody doesn't sing very well, somebody has to put it to them like that sooner or later.

Sometimes I think he's a little too harsh on people but for the most part he is just being honest. These people shouldn't continue to go around singing thinking they are good when they really aren't.

he's funny. but what amazes me is that soem of those people actually think they are good singers. Can't they hear themselves? It must be tiring for the judges to sit and watch all those auditions lol.

There are really a lot more judges besides Simon, Paula, and Randy. Only certain people try out for them, basically the ones whom they want to see on television.

Yeah, back to the original topic. Um, he could lighten some of the criticism down. He doesn't have to eliminate all of the comments. I mean I can't sing, but if I was performing in front of the judges I would rather him be honest with me. It might be embarassing to be on tv and the guy totally slams my singing, but the guy kind of saved me from more embarassing situations. What if I went to a party or something and I got up to sing and everybody covered their ears and booed at me? That would be 10 million times more embarassing.

Simon is the best of the three. He's the most professional and honest. Paula is the 2nd best, and then Randy at 3rd. Simon is just so honest, and he really is being mean to get the person to know that they can't sing. He doesn't want the contestants to struggle with their careers, so he tells the truth. Paula is a little too nice, but she is at least honest. Randy is just out of it...and doesn't interact with the other judges. He's a complete bore.

I didn't think Paula was nice to that one girl last Tuesday, when she said she wasn't good enough for Hollywood. Simon & Randy had to say yes for her to go to Hollywood. I think that was the first time Paula was mean.

I love Simon, his comments just crack me up. He's alot nicer than I would be and no I would never go up there and audition for him. I can't sing to save my life. I think he's handsome and I love his accent.

I had a dream last night actually when they were down to two people in the last episode of American Idol. It was Frenchie and some other guy...and she won.

I have a thing for him too, must be the accent! If these people want to make it in the entertainment industry, they'd better develop their thick skins now. He doesn't say anything that shouldn't already be obvious to the people that can't sing. Also, notice how when Randy and Paula think someone stinks but don't have the guts to say it they immediately look at Simon so he can do their dirty work. Some of these people are so seriously deranged with regard to their talent (or lack thereof), they need to hear it loud and clear. Look at the guy that came back insisting that they wanted him to try again.
