Is it me or does it seem like Scrubs is quickest 1/2 hour you will watch on TV?
I don't mean because of commercials, it just feels like everything is over so quickly.
I think this is partly because there are usually 3 story lines going at once and there is some or total resolution to these lines before the show is over.
And they also pack in the jokes and zingers that coming flying out so quickly, especially from Dr. Cox, that there is no drag out.
And before you know it, there is 5 minutes left.
Would this make a good hour show?
They could easily fill an hour with the stories and jokes, but I don't know if that would kill its charm or make it too dramatic and lose its essence.
What do you think?

IT BETTER NOT BE 1 HOUR LONG BECAUSE WILL AND GRACE IS COMING UP NEXT. SCRUBS DOES NOT DESERVE A WHOLE HOUR, IT DOESN'T DESERVE ANY HOUR BUT JUST BE HAPPY ITS ON FOR A HALF AN HOUR BUT DO NOT BRING THE WHOLE LINE UP DOWN BY MAKING IT AN HOUR!

I think it would be a great show for an hour. The time does seem to go way too quickly.

The problem is that there are too many subplots that aren't given enough screen time. They are of course doing the 40 minutes thing (of course just to put the terrible GMM on hiatus)...but I can't see it as an hour show. BUT...what about 8-9 on Tuesdays? JSM is a definate for cancellation, and In-Laws is already 99.99% gone. But would they really help anything? It would make the show better length-wise, and possibly in quality. The question is...will you watch 8SR and Jim, JAG, AMERICAN IDOL, or Scrubs?

I agree with you there, Callmetootie. Scrubs, like ER, tries to fit too much into a small amount of time. I would love to see Scrubs extended to one hour, and with all the crap that NBC has on right now like Good Morning Miami, I think it could easily be done.

Good Morning Miami may not make it. As I understand, they are losing money from the cost of promos, and downslide in the ratings. They are expecting too much from the show. The two fired cast members are not going to be replaced as I understand, and Suzanne Pleshette's character is going to become recurring. BAAAAAAD move.

You also may notice that Scrubs is not a full half hour. Friends is 32 minutes, so it essentially has a 2 minute lead in to Scrubs. NBC did this in order to pull down more viewers, and keep people on thier channel long enough to pull away time from other shows (on other channels).
