Reports are circling that "Life With Bonnie" MIGHT be canceled in March or after this season because of low ratings. I hope it doesn't because I LOVE this show!

Unfortunely, they're probably right. The ratings have best mediocre at best. The show is consistantly ranking between #40-60, and not really moving anywhere. The same with Less Than Perfect. I think that the only problem here is the timeslots. It's up against Frasier and The Guardian. And sooner or later...American Idol will take over the entire 8-10 timeslots and reak havoc. I don't think that it'll be cancelled just yet though. ABC has bigger problems with it's Monday and Friday night schedules.

There have been rumors on Goldderby.com, that both Life With Bonnie & Less Than Perfect will be slashed off, due to low ratings. In fact, LTP is sometimes getting even better ratings that Bonnie, making Bonnie the lowest rated show on ABC tuesdays. It also hasn't aired in 2 weeks which isn't the best sign. And to make things even more confusing, Bonnie was bad-mouthing the writers, and replaced them with others. But do I think that Bonnie will get cancelled? Well...yeah.

I just read your post, and I can't believe it. This is a "great" show! This is one of my favorites of the new shows this season. If ABC dumps it, I hope another network grabs it up (I'd hate to see it go).
Since I'm posting on this show, I've got to mention LWB's Christmas episode...that was excellent!!! I liked it so much that I made sure to tape it when it aired again on the ABC Family Channel. I thought the episode was so well-done...it really captured that Christmasy feeling...so good!

I hope it isn't cancelled. Life With Bonnie is a pretty decent show and if it is cancelled that will be a total of three sitcom failures for Bonnie Hunt.

The biggest problem is that things are only going to get worse. It has Frasier, 24, and The Guardian against it now...but wait until American Idol extends to 1 hour and a half, and then possiblt to the full 2 hours. This means that LWB would rank at #5 in it's timeslot...not very good.

I think it will last all season, maybe get a pickup. ABC seems behind it's sitcoms, from what I can tell. We'll see. It's not like ABC has a lot to fall back on at the moment. But it is up against some pretty stellar shows that do great in the ratings. *shrugs*

Bonnie (I think) on average is 4th in it's timeslot overall, behind Frasier, The Guardian, and 24. The ratings for Life With Bonnie have been mediocre at best. It's at around #57 or so in the neilsons overall. I had original thought that LTP had better ratings, but it ranks at around #59. Nevertheless, the ratings are of no use to the network. I feel as though that entire 9-10 block is going, going, gone. The problem is that NBC grows rapidly at 9:00, and takes over for the most part...and then dropping off. In the beginning, ABC was VERY happy with Life With Bonnie's ratings. It was consistantly in the top 40. Now it's out of the top 50. ABC is quite happy with ABC Tuesdays other than that 9-10 line-up right now. And even 8 Simple Rules isn't getting the ratings it used to.

Well the Tuesday Night Comedies aren't doing so good (well maybe just 8 simple rules) anymore is cause of American Idol....isn't it???

Let's hope it's not the third strike for Bonnie. She is a true original, and we need more talented folks like her on Prime Time.
All the networks have been very disappointing this season. Instead of cranking out countless reality shows, they need to nurture creative talent and get some quality sitcoms on the air.
