I am not holding my breath at this point.
For example - they are just now bringing the Golden Girls to dvd this year and this show has a Massive following.
I pray for LITB on dvd daily. As long as they don't screw it up the way I Love Lucy did. I want a season by season, I will pay the big bucks for a decent transfer, some nice 50's commercials, good audio. I dont want a few episodes on a bunch of dvds. I cringe just thinking about it.

That is so retarded to release a few eps per dvd. I want to get the Star Trek and the Twilight Zone dvds and they are the same way ILL is. They have a few eps per dvd. Why can't they just release them all season by season? Geez, it's retarded.

Well, I agree 100% with you on the classic Star Trek. They need to release it in Season sets and get the price down. Right now, those individual 2 episodes per disk are ridiculous and retarded.
However, the Twilight Zone has gone to 5 Big DVD Collection releases and is much more affordable now than it was a year ago at this time when it too was being released one disk at a time. You can get each "set" for as low as $66.00 at one website I've seen. So you could own the whole show (5 seasons) on DVD for as low as $350. That's not too bad.
As for Beaver, I used to be much more skeptical about us getting a release. But this year Universal is releasing a number of their shows from the 70's and 80's to DVD, so I think we will see LITB and the Munsters (two of Universal's biggest "oldie shows") within the next two years.

Ahhh, a subject very close to my heart (see my many threads dealing with DVD releases of this show). I too want LITB on DVD in the worst way. And I too will settle for nothing less than SEASON SETS.
As for I Love Lucy, you are correct about the screw up job they've done so far. But the good news is that after they get thru the first season (doing it like they are now with only 4 episodes per disk - we will have a Vol. 5 & 6 coming soon), then they have plans to offer it in Season sets. So Seasons 2 thru the end of that show will be available in sets once they finish the episodes in season 1.
