It was in a group of islands (shaped like a cross IIRC) in the Mediterranean Sea, and another island was named Skeptos.
Thanks for plugging Perfect Strangers, BrianDamage!!! (I LOVE that show!!!)

Here is another one: Walton's Mountain, Virginia, on The Waltons. Also mentioned within the series was the fictional town of Rockfish and the Army installation known as Camp Lee. (In real life there is a Fort Lee in the Dominion state near Petersburg!)
The county was Jefferson County, but they always went to Charlottesville (the county seat of Albemarle County, no less) when they had business at the courthouse. One route that was mentioned from their neck of the woods was Highway 29, as in US Highway 29, that runs from near Baltimore, Maryland, to Pensacola, Florida. Waynesboro was also mentioned as a nearby city.

Oh, and FWIW, in the episode of The Brady Bunch entitled "Dear Libby," in which a column appears in the paper about a recently merged family with three boys and three girls (like the Bradys themselves!), after the Bunch had thought one of the Bradys had written it, Libby makes an appearance at the Brady house and announces it was written by a person from the town of Kingsford, Illinois, which does not exist in real life.
