What sitcom had a nineties version of the Beatles "Lady Madonna" for its theme song? (It was sung by a female--Aretha Franklin, perhaps?)
Just wondering!
That cover of the Beatles tune was used for the first few seasons of the Brett Butler comedy "Grace Under Fire."
For some reason, they decided to change the theme to a more hip sounding "I'll Be There For You" Friends inspired song, I guess to make the show more accessable to "the kids."

It's a shame that show didn't last longer. I really got a kick out of it. Mind you when you have a son who is 10 yrs. old one year, and then 16-17 the next, I guess that would be a good reason for ratings to drop. I personally thought Brett Butler was hilarious.
