I don't really care for Happy Days. The others I've just seen bits and pieces of. It's not that I don't like them, its just that I've never really watched them.

So you were born in the 80's and if so-you didn't watch those shows in syndication?

I was born in 1984. I like
1.All in the Family- Tied favorite
2.Sanford and Son- Tied favorite- I can't decide which one I like best.
3.Jeffersons- The show was okay with the first Lionel, but hated it when the second one stepped into the show.
4.Three's Company- I'd watch it if it came on earlier instead of at 3 in the morning.
5.Good Times- Never really watched it
6.Happy Days- I like it. I don't like it as much as I like AITF or S & S.

So u were born in 84? That's a first because most people born in 84 would not give those shows a second look.

Yep, I was born May 25, 1984. I don't even know if you should count me because I always loved older stuff. In middle school all my friends used to tease me because I loved 80s music. I was the only one that could probably list you a whole list of 80s musicians. I didn't know a damn thing about the current music when I was in middle school. I liked a few current musicians, but I preferred the 80s any day.

I grew up watching the older shows and I just stuck with that instead of watching newer shows. I might be stuck in the past. lol Like, I bet you five bucks if my parents liked current stuff when I was younger- I prob. wouldn't like any old show. I just grew up watching Sanford & Son, TAGS etc on TBS and N @ N. I think that's why I still like the older stuff because I was raised watching the stuff.

Anybody know what I'm getting at?

3.Jeffersons-I'll only watch it if nothing else is on
4.Three's Company-Good show with lots of sex jokes
5.Good Times-Boring
6.Happy Days-It's only ok.

I've never seen a full episode of either "Good Times" or "Three's Company" but I like the other shows listed. If only I had enough time to watch them. I was born in '85.

I was born in '85.

1. All In The Family- I DEFINATELY enjoy watching this. I try to catch it every night, as well as "Archie Bunker's Place."
2. Sanford & Son- I like it, but it's not a favorite.
3. The Jeffersons- I like it. I watch it whenever I have time.
4. Three's Company- It's in the top 3 of my favorite shows of all time. I grew up w/ "Three's Company."
5. Good Times- I never got into it.
6. Happy Days- I grew up with this show. It's on my top 10 list of favorite shows.

"Happy Days," and "Three's Company," are my favorite shows from that list. Throughout my childhood I watched their re-runs on KTTV. (L.A. FOX affiliate.)

Those two bring some good memories.

Well I was born in the latter half of 1979 but I'm 23, so I'll still answer the question. I love All in the Family but I never cared for Three's Company. I'm pretty neutral about Happy Days and I haven't seen quite enough of the others to judge them. As for other shows from the '70s, I like MASH, Mary Tyler Moore, Bob Newhart, Soap, and I love Barney Miller.

I was born on February 1st 1984 and I wasn't much into sitcoms until they came on N@N such as Gilligans Island, AITF and Three's Company. As far as the shows you mentioned.

1. All in the family- is my second favorite sitcom of all time. Archie is so funny and his arguments with meathead are just classic. I give AITF a 9/10!

2. SAS- There are a few episodes I can watch, but other than that it dosen't appeal to me. I give SAS a 5/10.

3. Jeffersons- is funny, its watchable for me. I give the Jeffersons a 8/10. (interesting note I have the same birthday as Mr. Jefferson)

4. Three's Company- The best show ever past present and future IMO . Every season of the show was hilarious:) I can never miss an episode I'm recording every episode more than once! I give Three's Company a 10/10!

5. Good Times- I honestly never heared of this show so I won't give it a rating.

6. Happy Days- I can watch it if there is nothing else on. I give HD a 7/10.

This could be a shock to some people around my age,but I love the older sitcoms and I hate the newer ones except for Home Improvement and 8 SPR. There are two shows I just can't stand and that is Cheers and the one I hate the most is Roseanne.

Yeah, it's quite surprising for some people to realize that teenagers our age actually like old stuff. I mean, most teenagers prob. don't even know the above shows Solomon listed. Like he said about people being born in 84 prob. wouldn't give the shows a second look. That's how it is with my town. Only a few actually care about old shows. Most of them just watch the current stuff.

Actually, I was kind of thinking the same thing Solomon was. Before I came to this site, I thought most teenagers didn't like old shows. I come on here and I see 12, 13, 14 year olds talking about old shows. The old boards get more hits than the current boards. Yeah, that was a definite wake up call.

I was born in the 1980's.

1. "All In The Family"- This show has never really appealed to me that much due to the racist remarks Archie makes as well as all the yelling and screaming that goes on. I give it a 5.5/10 rating.

2. "Sanford and Son"- Despite the racism, I really enjoy this show and the kind the comedy it provides. I give it a 7.5/10 rating.

3. "The Jeffersons"- This show is crossed between "I Love Lucy" and "All In The Family". Naturally, the comedy part (ILL) always outwieghs the racism and yelling (AITF) in my opinion. I give it a 8.5/10 rating

4. "Three's Company"- I absolutely LOVE and adore this show. It features actors that I like as well as the comedy that is very similiar to that of Lucille Ball's. I give it a 10/10 rating.

5. "Good Times"- I have seen a few episodes of this show but it never really sparked any interest. I give it a 6/10 rating.

6. "Happy Days"- This is the most coolest sitcom in my opinion. The Fonz and the Cunninghams always rocked my world as well as touched my heart. I give it a 9.5/10 rating.

Ratings Order:
#1. 10/10- Three's Company
#2. 9.5/10- Happy Days
#3. 8.5/10- The Jeffersons
#4. 7.5/10- Sanford & Son
#5. 6.0/10- Good Times
#6. 5.5/10- All In The Family

I was born in 1983, and I have watched and enjoyed all the shows you listed at one time or another. In fact, thanks to TV Land bringing it back after the new year, I've been catching Sanford and Son as much as possible recently.

I've been watching old TV Shows hardcore since 1995, but actually, my taste skews towards slightly older stuff, such as the Dick Van Dyke Show, and I Love Lucy.

And, to show you how much of an old TV Geek I am, Nick At Nite's 1997 Block Party summer made me a Monkees fan. Yes, because of the 5 weeks of Monkee Mondays, I eventually acquired every Monkee CD that has been released... and I like 'em!

'zat answer your question?

I was born in December of 1981 and I like all of those shows. Happy Days and Three's Company more. In fact, I love shows from the 1950's and 1960's as well. I grew up to Nick at Nite and that's how I was introduced to all the older shows. TBS helped with the rest.

I was born on September 12, 1981, and I love all those shows, except I don't really care for Three's Company.

Actually, I don't watch too many shows that are on in prime-time now, except Everybody Loves Raymond. The best shows were on from the late 50's up to the late 80's. My favorite shows being:

The Brady Bunch
The Jeffersons
The Golden Girls
Leave It to Beaver
The Facts of Life
The Hogan Family
The Addams Family
Good Times
Maude

I find it funny you never heard of good times because someone who was born in 85 I think said the same thing. That's probably because it hasn;'t been in syndication too much in the last 6 years.

There are going to be older people who like the new shows, and older people who like the classic shows, and young people who like the new shows and the young people who like the older shows. imo at least. Most younger people don't discriminate as much with these shows (especially "Happy Days"), but more with older black and white shows. I'm 13, and here's what I think of the following:

1. All in the Family: It's a great sitcom. I usually don't watch it because of it's time slot. I'll watch ABP though.

2. Sanford & Son: I like it. I've only seen one full episode (haven't watched it's new TV Land run yet) but it was great. I've also seen snippets of other episodes that I liked.

3. The Jeffersons: I like it.

4. Three's Company: It's my favorite show of all time.

5. Good Times: I like it. I used to watch it when it was on my local FOX station in 2001.

6. Happy Days: It used to be one of my favorite shows. I still like it, just not as much as I used to.

All of those that you listed, I like The Jeffersons best, followed by Three's Comapany. I remember like a tiny bit of Sanford and Son, and never really saw All in the Family, so I can't really comment on those. Good Times plays here at 4 in the morning, so I never watch it. And I never really liked Happy days. Too dull.

Couldn't be more than a hundred bucks. And well worth it! 'Specially the Julie Newmar episode

I was born in 1981, and even though I'm a college student, I like old shows. I especially enjoy Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley--I have all episodes of each show. The same is true for Family Ties--which I didn't watch until 2000. Other shows include I Love Lucy, Facts of Life, Dick Van Dyke, Leave It To Beaver, and recently, Mary Tyler Moore.

I was also born in 1988.

1) All In The Family & Archie Bunker's Place: These are my all time favorite shows. I've been watching AITF since it was on TBS Superstation and WNYW Fox 5 here in New York, and I've been watching ABP since it also aired on WNYW Fox 5.

2) Sanford & Son: It's a good show, but sometimes Fred Sanford can get annoying, I've also been watching it since it was on TBS Superstation.

3) The Jeffersons: This is a great show and spin-off. I used to watch it all the time on TBS Superstation and WPIX Channel 11 here in New York.

4) Three's Company: I used to watch it on WNYW Fox 5, but now I can't even sit through an entire episode.

5) Good Times: I can't stand this show. J.J. Evans is one of the stupidest characters ever created!

6)Happy Days: This is a good show, but I haven't really watched it since it was on TBS Superstation.

Thank you, Penny Lane. I'm still 18, but I'm quickly approaching the 19 mark. It just feels so weird to be at this age. It's just I never imagined I would be 18 years old. It seems like 15 and 16 dragged on forever and it seemed like I would be 16 forever. lol

Wow, to be married and have a kid at 19. I'll tell you this much, I am not mature enough to have a kid or a husband at that age. Do you have any other kids now? What are their names?

Wow, I was born in '92 so if you would have asked me the same question about a year ago, I would probably only know AITF and Happy Days, even though I never watched them before last year.

1. All in the Family - I like this show. I never watched a lot of episodes to really get into it and love the show, but how could you not like Archie?

2. Sanford and Son - Again, I like this show too, but like AITF, I never watched a lot of episodes, but I'm bored or something and it's on, I'd watch it.

3. The Jeffersons - I don't think I ever caught an episode of this show. I might have watched one though.

4. Three's Company - Favorite show ever! Enough said.

5. Good Times - Well, after that marathon they had, I might have caught a few parts of some episodes, but the show's ok. I never really caught Jimmy Walker and his "dy-no-mite" thing.

6. Happy Days - Now I remember watching this show long ago with my parents. I like this show too, even though I don't really catch much of the episodes anymore. All I remember though watching it was the Fonz and "Heey!"

I was born in 85. The only one of those I like is Happy Days. The others I just had no interest in/couldn't stand to watch.

I liked a lot of older shows though. Growing up I LOVED Get Smart, F-Troop, I Love Lucy, I Dream of Jeannie, Bewitched, The Munsters, Mr. Ed... *shrug*

I like all of these shows except Sanford and Son. Three's Company is my all time favorite show. I am the biggest fan. I own tons of TC memorabilia. John Ritter is excellent in that show. Three's Company and John Ritter is my life.

I guess it really depends on how often a TV show is seen in your local area. Like my Little brother was born in 1987, and since he has been 5 years old-1992-shows like Jeffersons and Good Times didn't air in syndication in Philadelphia so he had no idea what those shows was about.

I wanted to know if anyone was born in 1980 or after, do you like these shows.

1.All in the Family
2.Sanford and Son
3.Jeffersons
4.Three's Company
5.Good Times
6.Happy Days

The reason I asked is because i fid that a lot of people who are 23 and under really don't pay attention to these 1970 Sitcoms. So i would like to know if someone was born in the 80's, do you like any of the shows above.
Yes,but I like Happy Days the least

I was born in 1981, and got to see a lot of these shows in syndication because my family didn't have cable/satellite until I was about 12.

1.All in the Family-I've tried to check out a few times. I can just never really get into it.

2.Sanford and Son-This was my grandpa's favorite show, so I remember watching it with him. Now, if I see it playing and nothing else is on, I might log a little time with it.

3.Jeffersons- Same as Sanford. If I see it playing, I might check it out if nothing else is on. I'm not setting TiVo to record it, though.

4.Three's Company-I used to watch Three's Company every afternoon after school when it was syndicated. I didn't even get half of the jokes, but I liked to see Don Ritter and Don Knots act silly. I still try and stay up until Midnight every night to catch it on TV Land.

5.Good Times- Like Three's Company, I would watch it every afternoon after school. Now, I can't help but think it's kind of silly. Though I was still saddened when The West Wing killed of John Amos's character. It was good to see him back on tv.

6.Happy Days-I can't explain it, so don't ask me to. But I can't STAND Happy Days.

It's been nearly five years since I posted in this thread, but nothing's really changed. I just recently rediscovered "Good Times" thanks to TVLand's morning run of the show, and this comes after a good two years of absolutely hating the show. I love it to death now, the first three seasons at least, but I can't stand JJ. Hate him.

I used to love Happy Days when I was younger but today as an adult I realize that I can't stand it anymore. Good Times I'm really not a big fan of anymore; I don't hate it, I just don't love it. The Jeffersons is my favorite Lear sitcom and I have always loved that show. Sanford & Son is another older show I've always enjoyed.

Though I've been watching older shows for as long as I can remember. And many of them too.

The Jeffersons used to be in my top 100 but they haven't been in the last several editions. The other four shows I don't care for, although I might watch All in the Family if nothing else is on. I was born in 1984.

I was born in the very last month of 1979, so I am technically an 80's child be default. I enjoy all of the shows listed, though none are "all time faves", of those I like Jeffersons, Three's Company and Happy Days best.

Wait a minute... That doesn't add up. You were born in 1979 and you're 23?

I was born in 1979, and I'm 28 :)

Anyway, to answer the question...I love AITF, Sanford & Son, Jeffersons and Three's Company. I grew up watching them in local syndication, and now, every day on TV Land. Good Times I can take or leave, and I was never really a Happy Days fan.
