New York seems to be the most popular place to base a television show in. Can you name any sitcoms/dramas based in New York?

Spin City was based in New York for it's first few seasons until it moved to California after Michael J Fox left the show.

Yes, the Korean War took place on the upper west side...

;)

M*A*S*H was filmed in Northern California, and on a soundstage in Los Angeles.

Actually, and older sitcom which was set in New York, "Make Room For Daddy" starring Danny Thomas, and let's not forget another classic, "Bosom Buddys."

Before Mark Feuerstein starred in the crappy sitcom "Good Morning Miami," he starred in two other crappy sitcoms, both based in New York -
"Fired Up" with a pre King Of Queens Leah Remini
and "Conrad Bloom," which featured a pre Gilmore Girl Lauren Graham...

Some dramas include the short-lived "The Beat" (from Barry Levinson and Tom Fontana) and all those Law & Orders. I think they're up to like 15, 16 spinoffs now?
