Can you identify this sitcom actress: She was the very first female co-host of Good Morning America, co-starred with Dick Van Dyke in a sitcom and is a dynamic singer. Who is she?

I invite anyone with a question or identifying a personality. Hope we can get a lot of participation on this.

I'm taking a guess here: was it Shelly Fabares? (I may have misspelled her last name).

Thanks Janice! - although I just realized that "Eddie Haskell" beat me to it!

Speaking of Eddie Haskell, what job did Ken Osmond hold for a number of years with the city of Los Angeles after his stint on "Leave It To Beaver"?

Let's try a little "Cheers" trivia.

This actor was originally cast to play Sam Malone, and he later went on to star in an NBC drama of his own.

Name that actor!

Okay, here's another:

On the TV version of M*A*S*H, someone other than William Christopher played the role of Father Mulcahy in the first episode. What is the actor's name?

(By the way, this person bore a strong resemblence to William Christopher)

Here's a little known fact for ya, Sammy: It was Fred Dwyer, who later starred in the Police drama "Hunter". (He was going to portray an ex football player on Cheers, rather than a Red Sox pitcher).

George Morgan played Father Mulcahey in the pilot episode, when the character was known as John Mulcahey.

Before casting the late Nicholas Collasanto in the role of "Coach" Ernie Pantusso, the producers originally considered the great Sid Ceasar for the role!

(I don't know if he actually auditioned, or if he turned down the part)

I can see Sid Ceasar in that role. Since I've gotten into the show Coach, I've thought that Jerry Van Dyke would've been a good choice for the Coach on Cheers. He's great as the not so bright but loveable Luther which is the way the Coach was on Cheers.

Although Jerry Van Dyke would have been terrific as Coach on Cheers, I'm glad he wasn't cast in the role. Cheers ran from 1982-93, and Coach debuted in 1989. If Jerry had been on Cheers, he wouldn't have landed his role on Coach.
Although Coach wasn't as big of a hit as Cheers, the role of Luther Van Dam was a bigger role than Ernie Pantusso. Cheers was more of an ensemble show.
Jerry was a true co-star on Coach for 9 seasons. He was given so much airtime and had many episodes devoted entirely to him.
Yet, I can just picture him on Cheers.
