Can you name any actor or actress who acted on a show as well as directed on a regular basis?

* Jerry Paris on The Dick Van Dyke Show
* Peter Bonerz on The Bob Newhart Show

I just realized that they both played dentists names Jerry.

I also notice Craig T. Nelson often credited as director on Coach.

I'm glad someone brought up the Star Trek Series.

I think some cast members of "Voyager" directed epsiodes of that series.
And now Roxanna Dawson (Voyager) is directing eps of "Enterprise."

P.Duffy-on Step by Step like all actors who get the clout that they do and know how to set up shots can stay on budget on a sitcom or a hour drama will get their chance. They mostly need the backing of their writers and actors and their trust.
