The General Hospital Thread was closed. I haven't posted on it for a few days and when I come back there are two of you fighting like there's no tomorrow. Look, obviously one of you doesn't enjoy GH and the other does. I personally love it. I think the acting is superb and the writing equally good. But those are my reasons. If you don't like the show make a thread titled "General Hospital Haters Club" or something equally annoying and stop posting on this one because obviously we don't enjoy or care about you opinions.

Also, I said that you were wasting my time. You are. I would rather spend the small amount of time I spend on the internet reading 'good' opinoins on GH rather than read your rants. I'm sorry if you have extra time to go to every thread for a show you don't like and post. That means that you don't have a life. You also told me what to reply. You said that I couldn't say that what you wrote was childish. Well, when I'm on the internet I reserve the right to type what I want to who I want without some imature GH Hater butting in.

So, in the future, refrain from writing "childish" comments about GH or me. And instead of typing curse words you should read the dictionary for more proper terms. If you can't afford one you can go to www.dictionary.com and find an amble supply of synonyms for "****ing." I honestly feel sorry for people like you who's only entertainment in life is starting fights on message boards.

As you can see in my siggy two of my favs are Alexis and Luke. I have been missing a lot of the shows lateley though. :( I hope that i will have time to start watching again though.

As for the two actors that you saw I know that the one was Nancy Lee Grahn, who plays Alexis. And the other guy I am not really sure, Did he have a beard, if so I think, but as I just said I am really not sure, he might be.......I go running to look at one of my soap books from 1989...LOL Just for you I about killed myself in my closet looking for them..I am sorry though I couldn't find any thing on the actor, but if I had to take a guess I would have to say that his name in real life is Lane Davis, or something like that. Looking through the book more closeley I found that the actors name is Lane Davies...Now that is if I have the right actor that you were acking me about.

I like Jax, but he really pissed me off when he left Skye for Brenda.. I read in Soap Opera Digest or something that they are making her character more like it was when she first arrived in Port Charles..strong and annoying, no doubt! Did you notice that instead of her usual light pink lipstick she's started wearing dark colors? I think it reflects her change. Anyway!

I'm not sure who is wedding who but in the left corner you can see A Martinez (used to be in GH too), Nancy Ghram (Alexis) is on the right along with Lane Davies. I'm not sure which one in the picture is Robin Wright Penn but maybe you know (maybe she is the bride?). You can also see the woman who plays Eliza on All My Children in the wheelchair in front of A Martinez.

I also really wish that JJ would come back, but really even if the show was going to consider him, I don't think that the actor would be willing to come back at this point. I think the woman in the coat is Skye because (maybe you missed this one) Ida said that Skye was the one that killed him. The lawyer's name is Ric.

BREAKING NEWS! Marcil Out!

Marcil is leaving. Can the men in Brenda's life Barrett?
Six months after it was announced with great fanfare that Vanessa Marcil was returning to GENERAL HOSPITAL and the role of heroine Brenda Barrett, Soaps In Depth has received confirmation from a show rep that the actress has decided not to extend her contract for a long-term run. According to sources, Marcil will tape her final scenes in late January.

Says GH executive producer Jill Farren Phelps in a statement, "We are disappointed by Vanessa's decision to leave but understand her desire to try new things. Vanessa will always be a very important part of the GH family and we wish her success in her future endeavors."

For more on this breaking story, watch for the next ABC issue of Soaps In Depth, on sale February 4.

That's a drag that Vanessa Marcil is leaving. I thought her a Jason might get something going. But that's how it always goes, something good starts to happen and then WHAM! the starlette leaves, ruining the whole thing! I'm not saying I'm the biggest Brenda fan but it would have been cool to see her be with Sonny again. They were good together.

I didn't know that Anna was coming back to GH. I'm glad. The more the merrier and with Brenda leaving I can't help but smile that a better, more qualified actress is coming into Port Charles. Long live Anna!

I haven't sceen today's show yet, but I would like to ask this what do you think about Alexis not even having to stay in the hospital, but then the juge even said that she was a danger to herself, and other people..So I mean I don't get it you know? I mean why shouldn't she be in the hospital, and yes I know that she is fakeing it, I guess I just don't get why the juge would say that she was a danger to herself, and other people, and then even though she still has to see Camren Sp, but not to stay in the hospital. I know what I am saying is not making much since. LOL oh well.

As fare as Sonny goes when he is acting the way that he is i try not to pay attichion, because I can't stand him like that. Sonny has a dobble standard for everything, and everybody. Like he is not putting the women that he loves in danger, eventhough he knows that he is. I just think that if Courtney, and jason are happy then he should let it be. If it were anybody else Sonny wouldn't care, so therefore, he shouldn't now. Maybe that is just me. I don't know.

Did everyone see the double episodes on Wednesday and the Anniversary Special on Soap Talk? Maurice Bernard, Steve Burton, Nancy Lee Grahn, Wally Kurth, Alicia ? (Courtney), and Tamara Braun were on it. It was great! It airs again on Saturday at 6 pm right before the live Soap Opera Digest Awards on the Soapnet channel.

I have rare episodes of Roseanne & Tom Arnold guest starring on General Hospital back in 1994. They were in 2 to 3 episodes and I think I recorded 4 episodes aroung that time. It is interesting to see famous people appearing on day time soaps!

I'm glad that Vanessa Marcel won because she's off the show now. At least Robin Christopher has a chance next year. I think the story line she has going now could earn her an Emmy. She's such a strong actress, she can actually pull off being conniving in a natural way and she makes you feel for the character.

I can't beleive that Nancy Granh didn't win! She's such a great actress! And she had that whole Sonny-is-the-father-of-my-baby-but-doesn't-know-it storyline! Come on! Somtimes those people have no idea what they are talking about! I think the only reason they finally gave Maurice Bernard an Emmy wasn't because he earned it but because he was so outrageously the best! He has earned it in the past and sometimes not even got a nomination.

Liz and Ric, married ~
I like this couple, but Ric is quite twisted. Liz seems to finally be seeing how troubled he is. I hope that the character can be "redeemed;" I'd like to see the relationship grow.

Sonny kidnapped; Lorenzo Alcazar, and the drugs ~
So far... I'm yawning. Interesting how his name is the same as Luke's middle name. I'm sure TPTB just goofed here, but still...

"Dobson, the butler," so that Alexis can see baby Kristina ~
This has been stretching on too long. I wish that Alexis would just follow the court orders; she'd get Kristina back in 6 months. It's already been almost three months; she's halfway there... that is, assuming that the judge doesn't take Kristina away from her forever.

"Dobson" and Cameron, the gay lovers, and Zander's reaction ~
This is hilarious! Poor Zander! Poor Cameron; he's trapped. He loves Alexis, against his better judgment. And he loves his son.

Jason and Courtney, engaged ~
Well, I don't love or hate this couple, so the engagement doesn't make a dent for me. The "issue" about Mike's approval and Jason's asking for Courtney's hand was ridiculous, IMO. Why did they make it come across as such a trauma? Courtney and Jason were acting like Mike was asking for the moon. When Jason went over to Mike the whole thing ended in a flash; quite a dud of a scene, IMO

Stefan Cassadine, back in PC ~
I'm waiting. I love the "bully" Stefan, but it's early. I am enjoying the conflict with Nik.

Emily and Nikolas ~
Tender. I'm liking them together. I hope they really fall in love. I like Zander, but Zander/Emily was a teen relationship. They've grown up.

Emily, Zander, Nik, and the cancer cover-up ~
Dumb. Tell Zander, already!!!!

Luke going bonkers ~
Well, Tony Geary is doing a wonderful job of acting in this storyline. But the storyline is bonkers. And boring.

Lucky and Summer ~
This went from icky (the triangle of Lucky/Summer/Luke) to dull.

The teens, as a whole ~
As a whole, a bit better than many summer teen storylines of the past.

Maxie and Kyle ~
Maxie drinking and partying; on the internet; taking drugs... She's smarter than that. I hate the whole thing. I like the actor who plays Kyle. Hopefully they'll soften his reputation so that Maxie can really be paired with him.

Maxie and Lucas; Georgie and Lucas ~
Lucas needs to find a girl who is not his cousin. I don't care that there is no blood tie between them; they still grew up together as relatives.

Georgie and Dillon ~
I love these two together!

Liz and Ric
I really wish that Ric could forget this insane track he's on. He seems like a really great character. I hope that he doesn't kidnap Carly and her baby. That will really make Sonny mad and you know what that means...

Ric and Carly's Baby
Come on! I'm wondering how this story is going to play out. I can't see a way that he can pull it off...hey, but who am I? I'm not a Harvard graduate.

Ned and Skye
I think this is such an interesting story. She wants a baby so bad and there is Kristina. Ned is interested in her and she likes him. Plus he has more chances of getting the baby if he's married. I think Skye can talk him into it.

Sonny/Alcazar
I don't really like this storyline but Sonny always has to have a nemesis and Alcazar is it. I think it was kind of cheesy that the same actor is playing his brother, you can't possibly be fooled by a beard!

Dobson/Alexis and Cristina
I also think that this story line is being dragged on and on. Nancy Grahn is such a great actress she deserves some more meatier material.

Jason and Courtney's Engagement
I am so excited about this story! I have been going crazy for Jason since the first time I saw him and now he's getting married to a girl that is perfect for him. Not to mention that Courtney is Sonny's sister. She's basically Sonny with long hair. :-)

Stephan Cassadine's Return
I really didn't like him before he left and I really don't like him know. His character is one sided and has no dementions. I'm all ready sick of him!

Emily and Nikolas
While I love Zander, I agree that Nikolas and Emily should get together. This relationship has been long in the making but now maybe it will blossom.

Emily, Zander, Nikolas, and the Cancer Cover-Up
I think Emily should tell Zander about her cancer but I can understand the character's need to protect him. I'm sure that the Emily-and-Zander thing is over and the Gia-and-Zander thing is just beginning. (P.S. I really don't like the new actress playing Gia. She sucks!)

Luke is Crazy
I think that Luke needs a new storyline and this is a good one. He plays crazy very well and who wouldn't be going crazy in his place?

Lucky and Summer
I don't really like this storyline but it parallels the early days of Luke and Laura (not the early-early days). I guess if you are a hardcore Luke and Laura fan this storyline suits you. I personally love Sonny.

The Teen Scene
I'm enjoying the teen scenes. I think that they are trying a little to hard to draw in a young crowd, I'm young and I watch this show year-round. But in the end it's pretty good.

Maxie and Kyle
I think that Maxie isn't that smart. She never was and she still isn't. I can't beleive she set up Georgie like that! But I do hope that Kyle and Maxie do end up together because he really feels bad for what he did.

Maxie, Georgie, and Lucas Love Triangle
Georgie is a total idiot! Lucas tells her everyday that he doesn't like her in that way butshe still refuses to beleive it! What an idiot! She's being like a typical girl though.

Georgie and Dillon
I hope that she stops this crap about Lucas. Dillon isn't my favorite character but he does really like her. They have tons of potential.

Liz and Ric - I was beginning to wonder how long it would take for her to wake up and quit making excuses for Ric. He's lost Liz, Sonny's trying to kill him and while he's pretty twisted with this whole "Sonny needs to pay, so I'm going to take Carly's baby," thing, I also think he's a good character and I hope he sticks around.

Emily and Xander... and Nikolas - I knew those two had feelings for each other, and it's about time they finally came out and just said it! I like her with Xander, but I'd love to see her and Nikolas together.

Gia - I miss the first Gia!

Alexis, Skye and Ned - I have to say it: I'm tired of Skye acting like she has every right to be in the middle of this thing with Alexis and Ned. Not that I hate Skye or anything, but it's driving me crazy seeing her act all high and mighty. Yes, Ned needs to be married in order to gain custody of Cristina, and yes I'm rooting for him, but damn.. By the way, nice to see Alexis as Alexis and NOT as the butler! I can only imagine how this storyline will turn out. Should prove to be very interesting with Stefan helping her out.

Jason and Courtney - I like the two of them together, and I hope they make it.

Maxie, Georgie, Dillon and Kyle - In-taresting! I'm enjoying this storyline, too. Maxie's playing Mac like a pro, and she better watch out.

Luke - Boy do I feel for him. When is Laura going to come back (again)? We need her back, LUKE needs her back. He's been in love with her for so long, and I hate to see him driving himself crazy, going downhill and all.

Sonny, Alcazar and Carly - Not bad, but I wish they'd get this one over with. I was really hoping that Alcazar would be a nice guy for once and take Carly back home, but this is a soap opera and of course he has to screw with Sonny, so it's to be expected.

About Finola Huges leaving All My Children: It'd be nice to see her back on GH as Anna, if only for a little while. Her and Duke were always one of my favorite couples.

Alexis, Skye and Ned - She really is, and she needs to back off! Maybe she means well, but I'm having a hard time buying the excuse that she only wants the best for this baby. She wants Ned, and she knows it. Alexis... I always liked her, but she gets on my nerves sometimes, too. Oh, and I'd really like to see more of Jax! I hated when Brenda came back, only because Jax fell for her again and then... she goes and leaves! Blah. I think he and Skye made a really good couple.

Jason and Courtney - I can't believe she's pregnant. Now I'm seriously crossing my fingers for these two.

Luke - He's been a favorite of mine ever since I started watching General Hospital, which has been many years. No matter what happens, he's fun for me to watch. Except when he's being a jerk, and takes on the "Screw the world, I don't care what happens to me. Let's see how many times I can kill myself!" attitude. *lol* But really, he's at his best when he's with Laura.

Sonny, Alcazar and Carly - That's exactly what I was thinking about those two! Notice how he was listening at the door when her and Sonny were together? He's also asking questions about her past.. Yeah, I'd say he's becoming interested.

One can only hope that Anna (and Duke) come back to General Hospital!

I don't like the storyline about Courtney being addicted to pills. It seems like everyone on GH has been addicted to something one time or another. I wish they would put Faith with Sonny, which seems very odd but it would really spice up the plot. I'm not sure how it would happen but it would be interesting to watch.

Now that Courtney's supposedly quit the pills, it's only a matter of time before we see her go back to 'em. It took Allan forever to get over his addiction.

Nikolas, Emily and Zander - I'm glad she married Zander, even if she's not completely in love with him. Nikolas made his choice to be with Lidia, now he needs to leave Emily alone. They're going to run this whole "I'm so in love with you, I can't live without you.. but wait, we can't do anything. We have to stop." blah blah blah storyline into the ground.

I think that Emily and Nicolas will end up together because they are running it into the ground. I would like (eventually) Courtney and Zander together. They had a little interaction when she first arrived in town. Remember her car broke down and Zander helped her...I think AJ was there too. Anyway they had a good vibe.

I really hate the new Gia. She is such a bad actress! Maybe the old one will comeback because I don't remember seeing her show or anything. What was it called? Miracles or something. It probably floopped. I can't wait to see Amber Taublin's (spelling?) new show Joan of Arcadia. It premires Sept. 26 at 8 on CBS, if your interested. I thought the original Gia was bad when she first showed up, but then I warmed up to her and now I wish she was back! Blech, I don't like this latest Gia at all. There is a new beginning on GH. They added Dillion and Alcazar and a new picture for Carly. There is also a different scene in between the Quartermaines and the Cassidines. It's of the New Year's Eve episode I think. I don't know why but when I noticed it I was really excited! I didn't realize that they were adding Ted King parmanently. He's such a great actor! It's great that GH brought him back. Lorenzo is such a better character than his brother Luis!

Yes, they're keeping Ted King!! This is great news, because I'm really starting to like the storyline with Carly, Lorenzo and Sonny again. I agree that Ted's a great actor, and I like him (Lorenzo) a hell of a lot more than his brother.

Even though I don't like Faith all that much, I like the actress playing her and if she doesn't win a daytime Emmy.. I'll be very surprised. She's so good!

I love this storyline with Lilly. I was hoping that the real Lilly would some how be alive. I knew she was "coming back" because they said it on that fall preview show. They didn't say how though. I'm kinda disappointed. :-) Anyway, I think Zander and Emily are pretty much over now. I hope so!

I was sorta hoping for the real Lily to come back, too. But I'm loving the hell outta this storyline. Looks like Sonny could break at any moment, with all of the stress and then seeing the double right there in the terrace! Perfect!! I think it's only going to get better from here on out.

About Emily and Zander, I'm so glad he let her have it. Of course, he's done it before but I want her to own up to everything instead of getting away with having her cake and eating it, too. It's not fair at all to him.

More Lucky is always a good thing! With Greg Vaughn, I'm not missing Jonathon Jackson so much anymore. Luke is going to lose it once he finds out (when the hell are they going to bring him back?), that's for sure.

Nice that he sat down with her, had a talk, and just listened to her side of things. I guess Maxie's calmed down for the time being, but if she keeps seeing that guy, it'll be back to square one.

I am too! It's about time they pulled him back in. I felt sorry for Stefan.. a little bit, but there was a part of me that enjoyed seeing him get it from Luke and everyone.
