LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - "Malcolm in the
Middle" mom Jane Kaczmarek and her husband, "The
West Wing's" Bradley Whitford, have a new addition to
their family.
Kaczmarek gave birth to a baby girl, Mary Louisa, last
week in Los Angeles. The child weighed a healthy 10
pounds, 3 ounces at birth, shortly after 9:30 a.m. on
Monday, Nov. 25.
"Mother and daughter are resting
comfortably," says the couple's
publicist, Melissa Kates. "Father is
struggling with hair loss."
Mary Louisa is the third child for
Kaczmarek, 46, and Whitford, 43, who have been
married for 10 years. They also have a 5-year-old
daughter, Frances, and a 2-year-old son, George.
After Kaczmarek became pregnant in the spring, the
writers of "Malcolm in the Middle" decided to work
the pregnancy into the show rather than try to hide it
with props and oversize clothing, as they did when she
was carrying George in 1999.
Kaczmarek said last summer that the plan was for
"some episodes [with her character, Lois] not pregnant,
and then some pregnant." The shows aired thus far this
season have fallen into the not-pregnant category.
