Question about "Meet the Folks" Episode

I watched an episode of "Less than Perfect" the other night called "Meet the Folks" where Claude's parents come to visit. Also in this episode, Kipp gets a bit off track over the visiting Journalism Student. I've spent the last several days trying to find out who the actress is that played the Journalism Student. I know I've seen her in something else, but it's not coming to me. At first it was sheer curiosity as to who she was, but the harder it gets to find out, the more of an obsession it becomes. :) If anybody has an idea as to who this actress is, it would do much for my sanity if you could help me out. I believe she played Katey on "The 80's Show" one of the lead characters from that show, I thought she looked oddly familiar for a minute too, but her real name is Tinsley Grimes, and I think that it was her that played Journalism Student.
