I've recently come across a couple posts on the "JTS" website, that seemed to indicate that this show was going downhill.. How do people feel? Is it starting to run out of steam?
To be completely honest, I've been watching this show since it premiered in '98; I always thought it was kind of funny, but had potential to be even funnier, and now, four years later, I find myself with almost the exact same point of view... It still can be a little entertaining; yet, it still feels like something is missing. I can't quite put my finger on it.. How do others feel? Is it losing it's spark, just as funny as ever, or was it never anything great in the first place?

I still watch it, and find it funny. Last season I thought it was revving up for the jump when they discussed having a baby. Once that happens, the show will suffer.

For Me: No, it has not jumped the shark. Not before and not anytime this season. I think it gets better which each episode.

I like them just being them and I have to say reading all those posts pissed me off. It is very possible for them to be together, what just because she is hot and thin she can't love someone who isn't model perfect? Puhlease, women LOVE men who make them laugh. And besides, he is good-looking. Obviously the ding dongs who make comments like this have never really been in love, because you don't bail when someone gains a few pounds or loses some hair or whatever. And if you do then you need therapy, because that is very shallow and superficial and you will never truly be happy.

Ok, feel better after venting. :angryfire

I personally am glad they put off having a baby. All shows go this route and I am sick of it. I can rant and rave for hours on this subject, but I dont want bore you to death.

KoQ will jump the shark on the day when Doug is kidnapped by extra-terrestrials.

I second that. Just having the King of Queens on tv alone makes my high cable bill worth it.

It hasn't jumped the shark. It's still really funny to me but I don't know if it will ever be as funny as maybe the first 5 seasons. Although I can't say that because I did miss a bunch of the sixth and seventh seasons.

So far Season 8 is hilarious
