I don't want to be the sourpuss of the group, but I wouldn't get your hopes up. I've been following the 'Archie Bunker's Place' schedule on tvland.com and they've made minor changes on that schedule. Like when the rotation starts over, they had episode #3 airing but then they edited it and put #1 and #2 before #3. They could be airing, but don't get your hopes too high if they decide to change it. I know we are talking about two different shows, but you never know.

Has TV Land ever listed "Wally's Practical Joke" before? If not, we may be in for a treat, because I don't think that TV Land has ever aired this episode!

I checked the schedule again and it definitely is on the schedule for Nov 18. It is not in the rotation order though, It is being shown after ep 233. I hope this is not a misprint because I would love to get that episode in my collection. I will set my VCR for that day and hope I get "Wally's Practical Joke".

That's a good idea anyway. If they do show it, you'll have it. If it was an error in the guide and they don't show it, then you can always record over the episode that they did show

I just don't understand this whole deal about this episode! I mean they've shown it before, because I've seen it and I remember it distinctly! It was a long time ago, but I know they showed it! The only channel I've ever seen LITB on is TVLand, and since I've seen this ep, I know they have shown it before! I hope it's true and they are going to show it, because it's a hillarious ep!!!

I've got it taped from TVLand, along with every other episode (unfortunately I taped them on ep mode using those stupid cheap RCA tapes that you get 10 for $10). Trust me, if you're gonna tape something for posterity, get a good quality tape and tape it on sp mode. My tapes from TVLand are only about 3 years old and they already have lost some of their sound quality! Disgusting!

But, as it pertains to this episode, it is hilarious, and well worth the watching/taping. Personally, I loved the last season of the show, and this was one of the highlights.

I saw it tonight, and I distinctly remember seeing it on TV Land before. TV Land has aired it before.

I wonder if they knew it was the last episode. Anyone know? I looked very carefully at their demeanor, and it didn't have the trace of underlying sadness one see in the last few eps of some series. Maybe they finished shooting the season and only found out during the summer that there was to be no more.

I'm not sure if they knew it was gonna be the last episode. I'd say they did though. It'd be weird thinking of what they would be doing if they had another season. Would Wally and the gang actually get to experience college or would the writers make them repeat their senior year again? Whether or not they knew it was gonna be it, they did choose a nice point to end it on.

OKAY, slow down here. Wally's Practical Joke is not the last episode. Family Scrapbook is the last episode. TV Land SKIPPED it Family Scrapbook. It should be noted that Wally's Practical Joke was also aired out of order. Yesterday (Sunday) at 5 and 5:30 they aired episodes 232 and 233 and Wally's Practical Joke is 231 while Family Scrapbook is 234. At least this is the numbering according to TV Land. For some reason they aired it out of order.

Here's a link to a complete and accurate episode list with airdates (Note production numbers) The Clothing Drive was flimed much earlier in the 6th season:

exactly!!! and to say the least, i believe that these were one of the many episodes filmed WAY before the end of the season becuase (of course only I and brit probably noticed it) but Barbara's hair is her long and flipped out manner, while in the begingin credits and some of the episodes (clothing drive i think is one) she has the short hair, now i dont think that barbara's hair grows any faster than most people's hair, so i have a hunch that the episodes that have her flipped out longer hair are from the earlier parts of filming and her shorter hair is from the end, OR i could be wrong and she got it cut short, but grew it out to be longer, but then why wouldn't we have seen in between stages of her hair, okay, haha, point being!!!!!!! I think that they filmed this episode way before the series was to air it's last episode.

I too agree that it was a good place to stop, wally had graduated high school and beaver was entering high school, although, i really wonder what the show would have done with wally away at college, the series never really mentioned exactly where he was too go except they mentioned state (the college ward went to) a lot, but i also did miss the fraternity episode, so perhaps in there, wally had a college picked out. I think that it would have been really neat to see wally somewhat living away from home and interacting with new people, and new college instances (i.e. co-ed dorms, something i look quite forward too ;) ) and then beaver in high school, you know, he always was the one getting into messes and letting other people convince him to do things that were wrong, he'd probably have brought beer to he all night part  i was partially kidding on that one... okay, i'll shut up now!

Of course! I actually discussed this in another thread! So I def. noticed it.

 Do you really now?
:D Just kiddin' ya.

About the ep...it had been so long since I saw this I had completely forgotten how FUNNY this ep was! I cracked up when the axle came off and Eddie says "OH NO!" and he and Wally haul butt to get away! I laughed my butt off!
