Did you notice last night on "Beaver the Babysitter", when Wally and Beaver show up at the Murdocks, Wally has to introduce Chucky to Beaver. However, a while back on Ep. 128, Beaver took Chucky shopping for shoes. I guess the writers didn't think we would be so observant about things like that.

Yes, I find that sort of thing annoying. Chuckie has been in quite a few episodes, bugging them when they were painting, the magic episode, etc.
I wonder if they have had some new writers come in or something?
I thought it was Benji Bellamy who bugged them when they were painting and in the magic episode where he thought Larry turned Beaver into a rock...but anyway...
Yes, I noticed that about Chuckie. I mean they made a whole big deal out of the shoe thing, so you would think Murdocks would remember Beaver.

Chuckie was also in the frog episode. You know where beaver collects frogs to sell so he can save money to buy a canoe.

Man you guys are GOOD!
That is right, it was Benji! I thought it was the same kid in all those episodes, maybe because I find both characters annoying, I morphed them into one character?
Looked it up and Rory Stevens played Chuckie and Joey Scott played Benji.
Anyway thanks for pointing that out!
'Chuckie' is really just something like a 'rechristened' Benjie. Their roles were the same-- a younger boy who lives closeby, and every time they appear they complicate things in such a way that Beaver or Wally, or both, can't handle it.
Incidentally, just as inconsistent as Chuckie being introduced to Beaver when he had previously gone with Beaver to buy some shoes, is that Benjie was supposed to live 'across the street' from both Cleaver homes. The Cleavers did not move far when they changed houses, but they did at least change streets.
