opening: refreshments don't move?

In Season 5 of Beaver when the mom comes outside with the tray of tea or whatever it is...has anyone else noticed that the tea in the glasses do not move? LOL! I just noticed it myself the other night.

I never noticed that the refreshments don't move but I have noticed that the front door magically opens and closes, without any effort on June's part!

It also appears as though the Cleavers own TWO lawn mowers...both Wally and Beaver seem to be operating some type of lawn equipment while Ward clips the hedges.

I have not noticed that about the tea or lemonade or whatever it is!!
I am gonna watch for that tonight!
I guess they didn't figure people would notice the props back then.

Same here. Welcome yall! (forgive me, I'm southern) We do have some very creative people here! I highly recommend you read some of the fan fics some people have posted here when you have time...they are so awesome! tdr has some great ones posted like We'll Call Him Beaver and The Third Time's The Charm. Hope to hear a lot more from yall soon!

I'll have to watch for that in tonite's episode. Must be frozen or colored glass. One thing that's also weird in the beginning of the last 2 seasons is they have a scene at the very beginning for like a minute or less and than they go to this short part where it shows the credits and then back to the show! That's kind of annoying. Can't they have ALL the credits at the very end like the first 4 seasons?

After taping the opening of the 5th Season, I am most amused by the
June carrying refreshments with both hands and the door opens
and closes automatically without her assistance.

I also believe that the glasses are only painted with some sort of pattern
on it and they are basically empty. Still amazing and mysterious about
the door opening and closing by itself though...

The pitcher is the only thing that has liquid in it and you can see it moving around. The glasses are empty.

Regarding the writing and directing credits near the opening of the show, I like the break myself. I imagine that those credits followed what was originally the first commercial break. TV Land usually just has two commercial breaks per half-hour show, whereas most half-hour shows have three commercial breaks. I like that TV Land leaves the credits in, along with bits of the theme song whistled (season 5) or played as a jazz intro (season 6) . I remember that a local station used to chop out those credits to show more commercials or promos. :(
