Favorite Opening

What's your favorite opening:

1st Season: Drawn Street Picture with Beaver's handprints in the wet cement

2nd Season: Beaver & Wally coming downstairs

3rd Season: June and Ward waking up Beaver and Wally

4th Season: June handing out lunches on the front stoop

5th Season: June bringing refreshments to Ward and the boys

6th Season: The family getting in the car for a picnic

The second season is my favorite. The last season is my second favorite.

I liked the season 1 opening best. Season 2 is my 2nd favorite.

I like season 5 because you see the Cleaver house front door (with automatic opening feature), and you see Wally's future house (New LITB show) in the background behind Beaver mowing the grass.

I really like the one where Ward and June come in and wake 'em up.
There she is in pearls and heels and Ward all dressed up.
For that matter, Ward is always sitting reading the paper with his suit and tie still on of an evening!
I sure don't remember MY dad back then keeping that tie on one SECOND longer than he had to!!

I chose the 3rd season. I like where they are waking them up! I also like the one where she is bringing out refreshments too though.

I don't know which beginning I like best since they are all good, but my favorite ending is the last season when Beaver and Wally are talking and then Wally chases Beaver around the tree and into the house. My second favorite ending is when Beaver is walking on the corner of the street and a car comes and Wally moves him over. Its so cute.

My favorite opening is the 5th season because of the while June is
bringing out refreshments carrying a tray with both hands
and rest of the family is outside...the mysterious doors opens and
closes for her by itself...........creepy huh?

Favorite opening credits: Season Two with season six in second place. Why? it is nice seeing how the guys changed in those five years.

Same here! First thing my dad did when he came in the door was take off his tie! But an interesting thing, about June wearing heels. I read Jerry Mather's book, and she wrote a few parts to put into the book and one of the things she talked about was how she always wore heels. The actual reason she wore them was just to be taller than the boys. She said to look at her feet in the earlier seasons, like the first 3, she's always wearing flats, but as the boys grew, they made her start wearing heels to be taller than they were. She didn't like wearing heels any more than most women! I just thought that was interesting.

Oh, and about my favorite opening. My favorite is season 2, but I'm with everyone else about season 5 and the cool automatic opening door!

I've changed my mind. I like the opening to season 6 the best. Barbara Billingsley looks so pretty. She looked elegant with her hair styled that way.

Hmm, I guess I would have to choose the 3rd season opening, where June and Ward are waking the boys up. When I first started getting interested in watching LITB, the show was in its third season. So, that's one of the reason's why I enjoyed the 3rd season opening, cause it reminds me of the good old days. :)

My Favorite Is the 6th Season Opening Seen When The Family Is Getting In The Car. The Music Is Better Too. My Second Favorite Opening Seen Is When The Boys Are Working In The Yard And June Brings Them Refreshments. :rock: :banana:

As for me, I'm going with the jazzy 6th season, when the Cleavers---still relatively dressed up---pile into the car with no rear windshield to go on a picnic.

What's interesting is that the online poll seems to indicate that the 6th season opening was voted the most popular, yet the written responses were pretty much divided between all six seasons.

I like the first season opening credits, but I like the jazzy music from the last season.

My favorite opening was from the first season when the credits were drawn in wet cement. This was very original for an opening TV sequence. A very close second is the 6th season, when the family goes on a picnic. The familiar theme music is replaced by an uptempo composition by Paul Smith and Pete Rugolo.

My favorite opening is the Season 3 opening. It is the one I first saw, too.
