Three weeks into the season, "Will & Grace" is currently the fifth most-watched show this season, behind "CSI," "Friends," "ER," and "Everybody Loves Raymond." :happyface :happyface :happyface

This is a big improvement, isn't it? If I had to guess, I would say that the ratings are higher because of syndication. People who never saw it before watched it, loved it and decided to watch it this season.

You know Will and Grace just might beat out Everybody Loves Raymond for the 5th spot. It was about two weeks ago they were 5th tied with Law and Order. And ELR was 6th. I think they'll be in the top 5 this season.

I'm surprised that the ratings are this high...I feel that this is the weakest season so far.

Last night's episode received a 12.1/18 neilson rating. It was the second highest rated in it's timeslot, behind CSI. W&G's follow-up Good Morning Miami lost much of W&G's audience with a 10.0/15 rating.

I'm so glad you agree with me.

Last week on Will and Grace, Karen was kicked out of the hotel she was staying at so Will let her stay with him. So she moved in with him. She drove him crazy so Will found a way to get Karen back into a hotel. So she wouldn't drive him crazy anymore.

I just wanted to post last weeks ratings.

Will and Grace 16.2 million viewers. The lowest ratings this season so far tied with the Christmas episode they had this season. But hey the highest ratings was 25.2 this season. For November sweeps. So it's not that bad.

16.5 million viewers for Homojo, that's up abouty a million from last week and against "Living With Michael Jackson" so were not doing that badly.

Will & Grace is the 4th highest rated NBC show on Thursdays, which isn't all that good...but the ratings have still been quite strong. Good Morning Miami is getting ONE last chance on 2/20 to shape up. All other shows are shoe-ins for the next season. NBC is still pretty happy with W&G!

six season premeire ratings

premeire ratings were great for Will and Grace. This premieres ratings were up 5% from last season's premeire.

It was the number two show in it's timeslot like it always is but it was also the 4th most watched program of the night behind CSI, Friends, and ER. This could actually put it in the top 5 for the week. It got a 22 share and it's rating was 15.7

Will and Grace in top 5 shows

Like I said Will and Grace was in the number 4 show for Thursday and that helped to put them in 4th place for the week. So even with CSI's big premeire (nearly 27 million) Will and Grace managed to be in the top 5 this week.
The source I did use that said Will and Grace was up by 5% was inaccurate they are actually down by 1.5 million viewers but not by being that Friends was down by 10 million and CSI was down by 4 million from last seasons premeires.

Ok, for last night Will and Grace did pretty good. They were a solid second in their timeslot with a 16share and like always CSI was the number one show with a 27 share. But still a great ratings for the show, despite being against the number 1 show.

I'm just going to post a quick ratings note for last nights ratings. Being that Will and Grace was on Tuesdays instead of their usual Thursdays. It didn't do quite that well. Probably being it was against a major hit, American Idol. but here is the ratings.

Will and Grace were 3rd in their timeslot with 10.6 million viewers.

Will & Grace isn't a stand alone show anymore, as evidenced from the ratings. Right now it's got a huge lead-in from Friends, and last week kept 80% of that audience. That's an okay number, but not so good considering that "The Apprentice" drew more viewers than that and W&G is an established show.

Don't get me wrong, I like the show, but people should be realistic and realize that the show is obviously on the downside of its run.

It'll bve interesting to see how the last Thursday of sweeps plays out on May 20th. At that point, "Friends" will be gone (on May 6th, "Frasier" airs on the night may 13th) and "W&G" will truly be standing alone. Perhaps NBC scheduled it like that to guage how Thursdays will do next season,

I always thought when Friends ended Will & Grace should've gotten its timeslot. The ratings would probably be higher. I think NBC made a big mistake with giving Joey that position.

If you check the first post in this thread you will notice how horrible the show is doing right now. If Will and Grace decides to come back for another season, then I think what will happen is that the cast won't get paid a lot of money. This will lead to the show lasting only a couple of more seasons. NBC should have kept the show at 9pm but they cared more about The Apprentice and now that show is doing horrible.
