Since it's October and that's when VH1 starts showing it non-stop, what do you guys think of The Rocky Horror Picture Show? You can tell my opinion.... :lol:

I didn't watch it on VH1, I rented it awhile back. And, my brother has it taped from Cinemax or something. It's one of the worst movies ever made, in my opinion. I can't believe Susan Sarandon wasted months of her life to make stupid dung like this! All actors have there downs...

I enjoy Rocky Horror Picture Show. I don't like watching it on TV so much, but seeing it in the theatre with audiencece participation is great. I like its overall message.
As for Susan Sarandon...I've seen interviews with her and she doesn't consider this a low point in her career.
You have to have an open mind about movies though, to enjoy this movie. You have to be able to appreciate low budget weirdness :D

Did you get defensive about what I said? --- No. I was directing that to all the people who get mad if you don't like what they like, and decide to say rude comments to you cuz u don't like what they like. No the prison one was for me :lol: That's a long story... I sent that email with the blanks filled in to someone famous (not from RHPS, we've replaced it all) and then I got that person's site shut down.... :lol:

That's cool, I just didn't understand who it was directed to because I didn't really see anyone getting upset (except for, like I said, the prison comment, which has so many blanks in it I'm not sure I know what it means :lol: :confused: ) But I'm guessing it's not flattering.

Ok getting back on topic . . .
I've only seen the last 10 minutes of the movie. I thought the last 10 were interesting, but they would make a lot more sense if I saw the beginning LOL. I also saw the part where they arrive at the castle a few years ago . . . pretty strange. I hope to catch it sometime this month on cable.

To be really honest, I think the movie is sh#te! The plot is practically non-existant and the music (apart from 'The Time-Warp', which we all used to dance to at school discos when I was a child) is complete bollocks.
A girlfriend invited me to go'n see the live stage-show with her on Monday night which I am quite looking forward to. The only reason I'm going (apart from the fact that the girl who invited me is my best friend and I just wanted to spend some time with her) is because Rhona Cameron is playing the part of the Narrator. You guy's will never have heard of Rhona but she's a Scottish comedian and I've been a fan of hers for years and I wanna see her.
I know there's a lot of Rocky Horror fans on here and, if any of you are bothered, I'll tell you all about the live show when I get back.
I think it'll be a fun night out - even if I didn't like the movie.
THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW is.... ok, I admit it, my guilty pleasure! I LOVE THIS MOVIE! I used to have a huge crush on Tim Curry - so what if he's dressed like a woman throughout the show? Susan Sarandon is too funny - I just love this one! My friends and I used to have this tradition in highschool, every Halloween we'd all pile into a room and watch CLUE (anybody see that one? it's the best Tim Curry movie out there) and then later we'd watch ROCKY HORROR! Oh dear, we're sad, but it's so much fun. :lol: :crazy: :lol: :wave:

On November 2nd my friend is having a Rocky Horror party and we're all gonna come dressed up and stuff....it's gonna be soooooooooo great...omg omg omg. I'm gonna help her decorate and stuff....Me and her and my other friend Jenae are the only people who are gonna be at the party who REALLY appreciate the movie.....most of the people have never seen it before, so they're gonna be clueless, but it's all good. I still hafta firgure out who I'm gonna be. I'm thinking Magenta, cuz that'll be easy. But maybe I'll go to a thrift store and get a skirt, sweater, some Mary Janes, and be Janet.

Last night, I went to see The Rocky Horror Show performed live at the Kings Theatre in Glasgow. It was the Official 30th Anniversay Tour. I know I've said before that I thought the movie sucked but, after seeing it live, I'm gonna go'n give the movie another chance cos I had the best time ever !!! It was soooooooo cool and so much fun!! :D :D
I dunno how many of you have actually seen it performed live but it really is an amazing experience. I can't possibly describe the atmosphere - it's just awesome!
When everyone was taking their seats before the show started, everytime someone came in in costume everyone in the hall stood up an cheered. There were a bunch of people sitting in front of me who had all come in fancy dress together. You should of seen the girl dressed as Frankenfurter - she looked so funny! :lol:
I was only 3 rows from the front. I had a great seat. That has no bearing on my story - I just wanted to boast about my great veiw! :D
There was loads of audience participation - shouting and stuff -but we weren't allowed to throw stuff on stage. This guy up on one of the balconys had brought rice and a water pistol and toast and stuff and, cos he wasn't allowed to chuck it onstage, he just threw it all down on the people below him during the interval. They weren't very pleased but I sat there watching him cos it was really funny! :lol:
The best part was definately 'The Timewarp' - everyone was standing up, dancing and singing along. The encore was really cool too cos they all sang 'The Timewarp' again with the whole cast onstage.
Like I said, I never really liked the movie but I still had the most amzing time last night! Anyone who is a fan of the movie has to go'n see it live - I guarantee you'll have such a great time!

I dunno how many of you have actually seen it performed live but it really is an amazing experience. I can't possibly describe the atmosphere - it's just awesome!
When everyone was taking their seats before the show started, everytime someone came in in costume everyone in the hall stood up an cheered. There were a bunch of people sitting in front of me who had all come in fancy dress together. You should of seen the girl dressed as Frankenfurter - she looked so funny! :lol:
I was only 3 rows from the front. I had a great seat. That has no bearing on my story - I just wanted to boast about my great veiw! :D
There was loads of audience participation - shouting and stuff -but we weren't allowed to throw stuff on stage. This guy up on one of the balconys had brought rice and a water pistol and toast and stuff and, cos he wasn't allowed to chuck it onstage, he just threw it all down on the people below him during the interval. They weren't very pleased but I sat there watching him cos it was really funny! :lol:
The best part was definately 'The Timewarp' - everyone was standing up, dancing and singing along. The encore was really cool too cos they all sang 'The Timewarp' again with the whole cast onstage.
Like I said, I never really liked the movie but I still had the most amzing time last night! Anyone who is a fan of the movie has to go'n see it live - I guarantee you'll have such a great time!
