'Perfect' is Good Enough for
ABC

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - ABC's new Tuesday night comedies are now three
for three -- "Less Than Perfect" has joined "8 Simple Rules" and "Life With
Bonnie" in getting a full season pick up from the network.

In its first two weeks on the air, "Less Than Perfect" showed strong retention of its
"Life With Bonnie" lead-in, holding on to 91 percent of its Adult 18-49 audience and
a stronger 97percent of its Women 18-49 audience. The comedy has also improved
ABC’s performance in the half-hour in Total Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34
over the same weeks last year.

"We were thrilled to announce full season commitments for '8 Simple Rules for
Dating My Teenage Daughter’ and 'Life With Bonnie’ last week, and we couldn’t
be happier to add 'Less Than Perfect’ to that list," says Susan Lyne, president of
ABC Entertainment. "Through wonderful writing and a stellar cast, led by the
incandescent Sarah Rue, this funny, charming show has quickly captured the hearts
of viewers. With each passing week, our confidence in this new comedy block just
continues to grow."

"Less Than Perfect" stars Sara Rue ("Popular") as Claude Casey, a long-time
temp who suddenly lands her dream job working for Will Butler (Eric Roberts), the
pompous news anchor of GBN Television Network. Sherri Shepherd ("Emeril"), Andy
Dick ("NewsRadio"), Zachary Levi and Andrea Parker ("The Pretender") co-star.

The series airs Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

This is super! You know...I would not be at all surprised if Sarah Rue was able to get Golden Globe and Emmy Nominations for this.

Uhh...could it be the fact he got cancelled before he finished cooking his meal?

The Emeril stuff is funny because Sherri Shepard was also on his sitcom. After the cancellation, she immediately jumped into another sitbomb known as "The Net", "Wednesdays 9:30 (8:30 central)", and "My Adventures in Television". Why it was given 3 names we will never know or care to know. Plus, she was in the classic final season of the critically underrated Suddenly Susan. This show looks like it might be the first one she's on not to get cancelled after one season.
