"What is anathema (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=anathema)?" is correct.
011 The Statue
JERRY: No, Elaine’s got this writer friend from Finland, Rava. Her boyfriend goes to Columbia grad school, and he’s suppose to do it.
GEORGE: Students can’t clean. It’s anathema. (explaining) They don’t like it.
JERRY: How long have you been waiting to squeeze that into a conversation?

Yes, the Commando 8 (a poster in here from France at one point), as opposed to the Commando 450 heater.

I doubt if this is the question what you seek, you prob would have worded it different. He didn't really admit it, just threw a very surprised look to J & E.

What is lobster?
107 The Fusilli Jerry
[At Monk's, George and Estelle are looking over their menus]
GEORGE: Look at that. They got lobster on the menu. Who would order a lobster here. I mean, do they bring a lobster in everyday hoping *todays* the day.
ESTELLE: So what if they have a lobster. Suddenly you're a shell-fish connoisseur.
sinatrastar
01-29-2004, 03:44 PM
Not lobster.
Maestro

I thought I bagged it there. Got to admit, that comes reeeal comes to meeting criteria... :)
If you throw an exclamation point in there it'd almost qualify as 'surprise.' ;) - "Look at that. They got lobster on the menu. Who would order a lobster here"
...nose back to grind stone.
sinatrastar
01-29-2004, 04:18 PM
That's close Maestro, no argument on this. However, I think it lacks two of the elements called for in the 'answer'. First, the lobster was not served to George, he was just commenting on it. Second, while I think it is safe to classify George's reaction as 'surprise' there is no actual admission of surprise on his part.
I now must go speck some more flies. ;)

sinatrastar

That is it. It has a colorful cover in the show, that is what drew my attention to it. Anyway after a little digging the above name was discovered.

I dont think the SeinJeop thread is a must read for most of our posters ... that's a shame ... since there is some Seineriffic Trivia going on in here.
I recall the episode vaguely, the pilot is not one I will usually stick with. I thought it was a black dog tearing through the apartment, but beyond that I dont remember. Actually, I may be getting that scene confused with Smuckers the coughing dog which was a black lab type dog I think.
