I spent $157.75 EACH ticket for The Who concert on July 4th.
Next concert I'm going to, Paul McCartney, I paid $150 each.
Well worth it to me. Both are great seats. Plus, I finally have the money to blow on stuff like that. :D
What really bugs me is the "fees" that are added on. If it wasn't bad enough that Ticketmaster charges an extra handling fee, but some concert venues here in NYC charge an extra fee just because they feel like it. And some places charge on a sliding scale depending on the price of the seat.
So, for the 25 bucks my roomate and I spent on tickets to see Wilco, we paid an extra 15 bucks in extra fees for each ticket.
Is there no justice in the world?

Well if I actually had a job, money would be no object to see my favorite band. I'm talking I'd pay upwards of $300 to a broker for front row seats.
Unfortunately, I am poor, and so are my concert-going friends, so money is an object. As such I try to get lawn seats when I can, or seats around the $40 price level indoors. (This is face value, before all the add-on money). Generally I feel I would rather have crappier seats and be able to see them 2 or 3 times on the tour, rather than so-so seats and only see them once.
Seriously though, lawn really sucks. I went to see my favorite band a few days ago and I couldn't see at all. I am willing to somehow someway scrape up the money to pay for better tix, but my friends never are, so I think I'm either going to start going alone, or find some other concert buddies.

Don't feel bad. I haven't been to one either. Then again the only musicians that I've liked for quite awhile without getting sick of them is the Dixie Chicks.
