TV Guide's new issue has an article about the returning shows from last year.
On Becker we get:
It's back because...
It's the hit show that no admits to watching . Even though Becker is consistently one of TV's top rated comedies, it doesn't get the awards the press or the watercooler chat time.
Executive producer Dave Haskell on why Nancy Travis in and Terrry Farrell out:
I saw a better story- maybe with more possibilities- if we let Nancy stay and have Terry move on"
No word on the changes to the situation of the diner and such, but just a note that Becker blows it in regard to the new relationship in the beginning of the season.
Of course, how else could there be a plot line, I say.
And as for the forecast we get:
CBS is taking a risk programming comedies on Sunday, and without the cushy Raymond lead in, Becker's going to have plenty to gripe about this fall.
We shall see.
