to me theres only 2 if you can even call them labels that i use for people, that is the rocks(meaning people into rock music) and the other people (people into that other junk). but i only called usr rocks cuz i dont like to call people punks cuz of how labeling is on people, and rocks is more... i dont know. but the other people isnt even really a label its just what i feel about people not into rock music.

The definition of kitsch is basically trashy pop culture that everyone likes just because of its trashiness or outlandishness.
Stuff like, errrrr, the Spice Girls. It's basically memorabilia we're talking about, more than the actual person, etc.

I can't speak for anyone else but I find Avril annoying cos I'm sick of people going on about how she's so talented and she's a total "rock chick" - the next Alanis Morrisette.
I know Avril can't help what people are saying about her but it just really p#sses me off.
IMO, Avril is just another manufactured pop act and, as a real rock fan, I find it insulting that people are labelling her as a rock act.
Granted, 'Complicated' is a nice enough tune, but I wouldn't buy it and it's definately not rock or punk!

I'm like that. I slur my speech quite a bit even when I'm sober. The people that I work with think I turn up to work drunk but I've never been drunk at the office.

I know for a fact that she's not on drugs. Take in mind that although Anna Nicole Smith sounds like she's on drugs...she's just a ditzy blonde. Sort of the same with Avril. She's another person trying to cash-in on the teen craze, and uses a pretty scratchy, but somewhat still appealing to teenagers voice. She's not on drugs...believe me. But what I said about Anna and Avril isn't always the case. Anna and Avril are not on drugs...but the scratchy-voiced Macy Gray was, and is. She smokes a pack of cigarettes a day, and during her teenage years was on pot. She revealed this during a press meeting [for which I attended for only $15]. I felt sympathetic, but then again...she still smokes. She admitted that it ruined her voice, and that during her time with "I Try" concerts, she had to be given a cigarette between a song. Too bad...but I still don't think that Avril is on drugs.
