When this board was first added there were about 15 posts everday. Now it seems as if this board has died down and not so many posters here anymore.

Once the new season is on there will be plenty of posts.

I agree. Since we are still in reruns, we haven't got much to talk about. When new episodes arrive, I bet the board will get hectic again.

You're right!! I never thought of the fact that since the season is over there was really nothing new to talk about.

I heard on Howard Stern, or on some news that they've decided to NOT go on with the show, because of Sharon's case. No, it was on eXtra.

I don't think they can do that. They have already signed a contract, I think it was for 2 more years.
Plus I wouldn't trust anything on Howard Stern. But if it was on extra you could be right. If they do decide to not come back they could be sued by MTV for breaking a contract.

I'm kind of split down the matter. In a way, I hope the show does continue so Sharon can be kind of an idol or something for somebody that does have cancer.
In another way, I hope they do delay the season until Sharon is done with chemo. I'm not looking for humor, but I think watching her go through chemo would just be awful. It kind of feels like the viewers are prying. I know if I was going through chemo, I would want private time and not worry about tv cameras seeing moments that I wouldn't share. jmo

Actually, I've read that Sharon wants to go on with the show, and yes, we're going to see her go through the chemo. I would think she'd want it to be private as well, but that's Sharon for you. Anyways, when I was watching that interview on Fox News that I mentioned in another thread, I saw a clip of Ozzy, Sharon, and someone else (probably a doctor) looking at some X-rays. I can only assume they were Sharon's. It was nice to see that Sharon was cracking jokes and staying in good spirits as everyone looked at the X-rays. I'm not sure, but maybe this was a clip of the upcoming season.

That's what I like about Sharon. I don't think too many people would have good spirits when going through something so serious.

This is from the Ask Matt segment at tvguide.com:
Question: Can you tell me when is the new season of MTV's The Osbournes supposed to start? I heard they were taping in July, then his wife was diagnosed with cancer. Is the show now cancelled? Thanks. — Charlie
Matt: I'm happy to tell you The Osbournes will return Nov. 27 with a new season, although the tone no doubt will be affected by Sharon's illness and recovery. If you saw the family together presenting at the Emmy awards, Sharon looked and sounded strong. Good news for a unique family, and good news for MTV.
November 27 is a wednesday though so I guess the show is moving to wednesday.
