I don't want to sound mean or anything. But why does Lizzie like Ethan. He's really stupid and he really doesn't care about anyone else. Remember the episode where he and Miranda were married for a school project. He was willing to leave Miranda for Kate. How insensitive. And another terrilbe thing about him, he is not as good looking as Lizzie and Miranda are suppose to think he is.

i think this show is trying to portray the average junior high girl, who stereotypically has a huge crush on a hot-guy-with-no-brains-or-feelings. perhaps the show is trying to get the message across to their audience of 'average junior high girls' that is an unrealistic and dumb thing to do, and tries to illustrate that by making the Ethan character unfeeling and heartless, etc. Another reason why I dont care for the show. It makes young teenage girls look dumb and obsessed with superficial things.
And to all you Lizzie fans, sorry if that was harsh, the show does have its good points.

Truths: Ethan is really ugly. But I think that it's just that one person in the popular crowd likes him so everyone does. It's kind of a common thing. Everyone follows the popular crowd.

I think the previous assessments have been correct. It might seem unlikely that a girl like Lizzie would go for a dimbulb like Ethan, except when you consider that in real life girls and women are ALWAYS going for the flashy, good-loking guys who are jerks instead of the guys that everybody but them realizes are the better choices. And men are the same way too!

Slowly but surely, though, they've been letting us know on the show that Lizzie and Gordo are really attracted to each other, and I wouldn't be surprised if by the time the series ends, those two have formed a new relationship. Or maybe it will happen in the Lizzie movie scheduled to be released next year.

In Ethan's defense, I don't think he is particularly uncaring or selfish. He's dumb, mainly. In the "I Do, I Don't" episode, I don't think he was really so thoughtless towards Miranda as he was just manipulated by the conniving Kate. If you've watched all the Lizzie shows, you know that Ethan's basically got a good heart, he's just clueless most of the time. Every once in a while, he even displays some common sense ot (gasp) intelligence! (Then they turn right around and make him so stupid that he says to Frankie Muniz, "Hey Frankie, how'd you get out of the TV?!)

He's definitely not very bright, and he's not really the most good looking guy. However, I can see how Lizzie and Miranda would like him. At least she's not afraid to talk to him and he seems to show a little interest in her (or at least he has in some episodes). Maybe they like him because he's popular. When I was in junior high I always seemed to like the most popular guys. Not really sure why that was....
