Its weird, because on N@N and TVland, you watch HD's and you see Richie and Ralph everyday. Then, when they come back for that episode it gets you all happy for them to be back lol. I wasnt born until 1984 so I didnt grow up on it, but even watching those 2 episodes makes me happy they came back!!:D

OMG! CameraQueen! (Michelle) I cry too! I dont remember those episodes too well though. Now, Im not a cryer, everyone says I have a heart of stone, but when I see the episode Richie Almost Dies (when he gets in the motorcycle accident) I cry...ESPECIALLY when Leather is @ the piano and shes singing! Ohhh!!! And the LAST episode (Passages Part 2), when they sing the Elvis song *Memories* and they show ALL ten years of clips, I cannot help it but to cry!! Its weird because whenever they show that last scene, Im always like, OH NO!!! Its all done! Even though I know the next night it will start all over again! Im a sucker for endings! Also, on N@N they used to have the classic TV rewinds....and I spotted a few from HD*s. I thought Id share them with you, since you all said you have them on tape. Well, look @ how the *Guys* room is set up. When you look @ the bathroom they have to take a RIGHT to enter the bathroom. But whenever you see them go in, you always see them take a left (to the stage exit). Or, whenever the door is open, its always a different color or it has a picture on the wall, but when you look in the mens room, the wall is plain! Also, remember the one when Richie has asiatic flu and gets robbed? Hes with the robber with the silverware and says not to because his siblings got it for their parents 25th anniversary..or was it the 10th?? nah or 20th?? I do the exactly the same thing. But I copied and pasted mine onto a Word program, so I can have it all the time. Plus I got a TV next to me and I have every episode written down that's is on every tape, so I can just go to that tape and look for what I need.

Yeah, I have every episode on tape (except ONE, and the post 1980s which I dont really want right now, but hope to get someday.) But, I never really labeled my tapes just the block party summer ones and the N@N countdown 98. I also have like every Laverne & Shirley episode on tape too. I only label them all like: old, best, best of the best, sophomore, almost Ca/California. So basically, I rate them to my opinion, although it does help. I started going through them all last year, but I scattered them all about again. I want to do everything by computer to make it formal and neat. Any ideas on where to begin sorting through my tapes? I want to put them in catergories like Block Party Summer, Specials, other, etc. I have so may tapes (100+) I dont know where to begin! Plus, I have episodes of like, Taxi and stuff that I dont even LIKE. Well, see you tonight!:D

Ok, this is what I did. I labeled each tape with #'s (1-?). Then after I finished that, I took tape #1 and went through the tape, each time writing down the episodes, by name, on paper. Then I got the 'Avery' paper and did everything on the computer. I typed out 2 labels per tape and stuck one to the back of the tape box and one on the tape. Then I just printed out a master list. It sounds complicated, but it isn't that bad! :D

Oh, and one thing that REALLY set me off, lol, was a couple of months ago, my mother taped over my Happy Days Block Party Summer week 4 tape!! I was soooooooo mad at her, still am, that was the whle BPS 99 Collection! AHH!:mad: lol. Oh well, I still have the episodes. Anyways, thanks for the advice.;)

Here's my advice to prevent favorite HD episodes--or any other shows--being taped over, pull the little black tab off your videocassette. That way, your episodes can't be accidentally erased. That's what I do when I fill up a tape filled with 16 HD eps. on an 8 hr. tape. I have 15 volumes, and by next week--when TV Land airs the two-part series finale--I'll have all 16 volumes filled and completed. Not quite, because I still need two more eps.(#75, #127) to make it official.

If you think the shows are worth taping (like most of us do on this board), it's best to tape them in SP mode. I believe SP stands for Short Play. Instead of the 6 hr tapes or the 8 hr tapes, you will fill the tape in 2 hrs. Of course you had better have a small fortune to buy tapes and extra closet space to store them, but the quality is so much better and the quality won't faid nearly as quick. Just for suggetion. This is coming from the guy who has the series on 73 tapes.

Hey thanks! Yeah, I ALWAYS used ESP--the 8 hr one. And I have noticed some of them came in kinda BAD. Some of them though were on a different VCR too. But when I get TVLAND I will DEF. use the SLP mode if everyone seems to endorse it! lol Thanks!:D And the $$ would be worth it...would you rather have 3 of the same episodes come in really snowy or 1 same episode that comes in perfectamundo? Actually I'm only 40 miles from Milwaukee. My friends and I go in there shopping a lot, during the summer it is almost every weekend. And just for the heck of it, I visited this pasted weekend the "Milky-way Drive-In" which is some ways a little like Arnold's Drive In, and the UWM campus (to visit a friend). Oh and also I have visited the Smithsonian to see Fonzie's jacket, but we were actually out there for a bakery convention :p Too much walking for me!!! You would have lots of fun though!!!:D

Hi all! As far as the weather here in Mass tonight, I didn't see anything too harsh. I was at work until 10pm, and I work in Warren, RI which happens to be right where the tiny gap in the storm system was, for any of you who saw the radar on the news. At home though, my poor little doggy was getting pretty upset, according to my parents, so I guess the thunder was pretty bad. Nothing tornado-like, though.

Good News, I am like 2 seconds away from finishing my first story in my series called More Happy Days, which is supposed to be like if they picked up where they left off all those years ago. (Except it is in story form, not script form.) I'll give you a sneak peek: It takes place in 1980. Joanie and her daughter Amy are living at the C's house while Chachi's band is on tour. Richie Jr. is sent to Milwaukee because he's, well, a juvenile delinquent. Fonzie is the vice principal at Jefferson, and Danny is in college. There will be (hopefully) 13 episodes, and just about everyone from the old cast will make at least one "guest appearance". I'm excited about it. :) So excited, in fact, that I am going to post my new web site as soon as this story is up, instead of waiting until I finish "A Death in the Family" Chapter 5, because, frankly, I'm getting bored with that story. LOL I'm way more excited about this whole More Happy Days thing.:happyface

RPRF, this is how I made my episode guide. I went to www.sitcomsonline.com/happydays and went to the episode guide--DETAILED. Detailed is a MUST. It gives you pretty much the WHOLE episode, plus has some cool facts for easy reference. I did it my season. I would copy one season onto microsoft word and fix it to my style with text and color. Then, next to each air date I would put a (#) next to it. In between the () was a number 1-10. It was my rating. I rated each episode. Then, I added it up, and divided them by the # of episodes for that season to get my average. Something didnt add up though, I rated wrong for the 80's, bc they got better ratings than season 1, which is an insult to me. Anyways, then I would make a cover for each season with the airdates from the beg. to the end of the season, # of episode, highest rating, and lowest rating, and avg. rating. along with a picture. I did that for each season. I made each cover unique, using diff. pics. Then I made a whole cover for the whole book. Let me tell you, it is THICK! I dont want to staple it though bc its so nice lol. It took me about 2 nites to do. Im gonna start a Laverne&Shirley one soon I hope.

Conan O'Brien Named Emmy Host with Leno's Blessing
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Late-night comedian Conan O'Brien will host the prime-time Emmy Awards in September, a choice NBC Entertainment President Jeff Zucker said he made with the blessing of the network's senior late-night kingpin, Jay Leno.
Zucker said Tuesday that Leno, who hosts television's top-rated late-night talk show, was not only "thrilled" for O'Brien but "relieved" not to be asked to emcee the Emmys himself.
"If you know Jay, you know it's not something he wanted to do," Zucker told reporters gathered for the network's summer "press tour" event showcasing NBC's new slate of programs. "If (Leno) said it were something he wanted to do, we would have acquiesced."
Zucker said network executives informed Leno of their first choice for Emmy host as a "courtesy" before approaching O'Brien.
"We wanted to go to Conan because we think it's Conan's turn to be seen by the biggest audience that will ever see Conan, and Jay was thrilled with that," Zucker said.
Ironically, O'Brien and Zucker were once classmates at Harvard University, where O'Brien was editor of the Harvard Lampoon magazine while Zucker was editor of the student newspaper, the Crimson.
"He would often pull pranks on us, and I hated him at the time," Zucker recalled.
O'Brien, 39, a former writer on "Saturday Night Live" and "The Simpsons," took over as host of NBC's "Late Night" show in 1993 after David Letterman jumped to CBS. The show airs in the time slot following "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."
The tall, red-headed comedian recently signed a four-year contract renewal with NBC that reportedly doubled his annual salary to between $7.5 million and $8.5 million.

Great news!! I just got back from Staples! Heres what I bought: 12 tab divider for the 11 seasons of HD's along with the 8 tab for L&S. 2 binders .5 for the episode guides. Plus 1000 really TINY labels for the side of my tape jackets, plus BIG labels for the tapes. 100 sheet protecters--bc I thought my book looked so nice, I wouldnt want to put staples in it lol so I found those and it was like DUH! Thats about it. Came to $30.98 Sadly though, they did NOT have tape jackets. They were like tape jackets?? Hello, doesnt anyone know what a tape jacket is? And their like "Oh, for CD's?" And Im like no....TAAAAAAPE jackets lol. Duh. They said I could find them though maybe on-line. yeah, I better! I dont want to have to make them myself lol.

No, but I wished I could. Even last night after our power went out I couldn't even think of anything! Im still working on my Milwaukee Journal one. I do one page at a time instead of adding them all at once, that way I dont get confused as to which pages are finished and which are not....expect them tonight Along with a few others
