Why did anyone like that show!!

I was just wondering why so many viewers liked that show Survivor I always hated that show and when it came to Thursdays to choose a show to watch at 8 I always shows Friends over Survivor. Don't get my wrong I love reality shows I watch both real world and road rules but what was the big deal with Survivor.
The first two seasons did really well but now it looks like viewers have stopped watching the show now it use to average 30 million viewers now it averages 20 million viewers I beleive that's a loss of 10 million viewers.

I just hope CBS cancels it.

I watched the first season of Survivor because, at the time, it was something different. I watched most of the second season in Australia, but I haven't watched any of the past two Survivors as I'm rather bored with the concept now... :)

I didn't even watch the first season. But I did watch the second and third seasons. After that it get's really boring.

I never liked Survivor either, or any of the reality shows that have come out recently.

I've also never figured out what makes Friends so special. I liked the first year or two, but even then, I ddn't think it was all that great. Wings and NewsRadio may not be the popular, well-loved, critically acclaimed shows that Friends is, but I think those shows are a heck of a lot funnier.

The thing I hated about Survivor all those people kept talking about Survivor being the first reality series when we all know that Real World, Cops, and Road Rules were on years before Survivor was on. And I'm sure there were reality shows on before those shows too. I'm glad that their ratings are down.

I only liked the Outback. I couldn't even watch the first one because I thought it was highly stupid. I LOVED the second one, and I can't watch the third or forth. I'm back to thinking it's stupid now.

I have never understood the appeal of "Survivor" either..

If I want to watch a bunch of people whine, complain, say things behind someone's back and plot another's demise, I'll spend an evening with my friends...

You guys seriously haven't lived yet until you get someone from an actual Survivor show living in your hometown. Pappy lives in the same hometown as I do, and he's in the newspaper just about every week.

They dressed the town up so much when he was on the show. You could go down the main streets and see 'We Love Pappy' signs in just about every business. They also had CBS signs up too in just about every business in town.

lol- Yes, I live in such a hick little town.

I haven't watched Survivor and didn't watch it when Pappy was on either.
