The Bunkers as family?

Who, if anyone, from the Bunkers would you like to be related to and why?

It might sound crazy, but I wouldn't mind having Archie and Edith for my parents or grandparents. Edith seemed to be a really caring and sensitive mother, and at times she could give very sage advice to Mike and Gloria. Archie would be really hard to bear a lot of the time, but it's easy to see how much he loves Gloria, and if you watch the episodes with Stephanie, he is actually very good with her, too.

I don't know why exactly, but I would NOT want the Lorenzos for parents... they are fun and everything, but seem like the kind of parents who would embarrass me a lot. They are kind of weird and overly nice. The Bunkers seem more like real people! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif

I think I would enjoy having Archie and Edith
as grandparents. I would want to be an adoptive grandchild because I certainly would
not want to be a product of the "Meathead".
He is way too self-centered and a know it all. Way too uptight for me!

If this were the early 70's, I don't think would Archie would have wanted me for a son or Grandson. Heck I wouldn't want any relation to him either. If it were the early 80's, I wouldn't mind too much since he his attitude towards other races have changed for the better. He wasn;t perfect, but at least he was better.

I would not mind being related to Edith. She was a sweet lady and a Christain. Why she put up with Archie, I don't know.

I don't really know who I would want to be related to, but I find it kind of funny, and a bit ironic that someone has referred to the radical leftist liberal on the show as uptight. He was certainly a know-it-all, and was really bullheaded, but he wasn't uptight.

I think that I'd rather have Archie and Edith as my uncle and aunt, instead of my grandparents. I think that I'd want Gloria and Mike to be my parents, and I'd like Stephanie and Joey to be my cousins.
