WOW I still can't believe this!!! :D

Okay, so, like, I went down to Nashville for part of Fan Fair last week, and I went to Lorrie Morgan's Fan Club Party (my favorite singer). Well, they had a contest, and I entered it singin' a parody of her signature song "Something In Red", called "Something In Bread", about the passionate yearn for food.

And I won 2nd place!! :D I was so thrilled to be able to do that, and to actually hear Lorrie introduce me onstage, and even better, she laughed her head off and loved it! Luckily the audience tapped into my random warped sense of humor (lol), and I felt good.

Then afterward, some of Lorrie's family came over to me and told me that I should've technically won 1st place. I was just thrilled with actually gettin' to do it, and the great 2nd prize that I really didn't mind not winnin' the whole thing---but Lorrie's own family tellin' me that sure made me smile! lol :)

The fan club president even made me promise I'd send him a copy, lol...I told him I have a few more too, that's just what my warped li'l mind likes to do in my spare time.

WOW I'm still so excited!!! :D

lol- that is cool- I love that 'Something in Red' song. You know what, you could even wind up like one of the parody singers. There is one in country music, I forgot his name. Um, oh yeah its Cledus T. Judd. You may have a future in parodies. Congrats! :)

Hey thanks, everybody! :) Yeah 80sTrivia, I still am on Cloud 9!! ("Cloud 9"---where does that come from, anyway? lol)

Jenny, KS, and dawsongirl, if y'all (and anyone else) actually wanna hear what I did to poor Lorrie's heartfelt song (lol), I've sung it in Yahoo Voice IMs for a couple of friends of mine. If y'all don't have Yahoo, maybe I can get one o' them other messenger thingys.

It's so much fun to write stuff like that---dang, if I had any money, I'd try to put the songs I've done on an album and get it out there---then maybe I wouldn't have to look for a job anymore, lol!

*sigh*, if only...

This is silly, but I have a cliche book and I looked up cloud nine.

"You can attribute this to the ninth (of 10) heavens in Dante's Paradise, to various classifications of clouds by meteorological organizations (usually in 10 categories) or simply to the notion that to be up on a cloud would be quite blissful, and if it were a cloud w/ a particular number, it might be your own, at least for the moment."
