At least you never hear him mention it over once that he was ever spanked by his father. Larry makes several references to his father hitting him and you know Lumpy got beat. Why did the writers of the show want to portray everyone elses parents as brutes?

yeah, they were the perfect parents. They never really needed to spank the kids because the kids always learned there lessons.

Well the Beaver has assumed that his dad will hit him b4 like when he ran away and hid up in the tree because he thought his dad was gonna beat him. The did talk about it sometimes.
