Hi Everyone!

Did anyone else catch this? A couple of weeks ago TV Land ran an episode (during the weekend) in which Beaver got a part to play a canary in the school play...and Whitey ends up playing the bird instead...you remember that one, right?

Anyway, did anyone notice that, after the play was over, during the backstage scene, we could see and hear Larry Mondello talking to an adult man who was wearing a suit...that guy MUST have been his DAD!! I don't know if his face was ever shown or not...the episode was run on Saturday, and repeated on Sunday, but I didn't get to see that part of the episode the second time it ran...and I don't know if the man said anything to Larry...it seems to me that the man had his back to the camera during the scene.

Did anyone else notice that? It may be the only time during the series that Larry's father ever appeared on camera!

Or did I imagine the whole thing?

You're right. I think that was the only time we see Larrys' father. He was usually in Cincinnati or somewhere on business. Larry was telling him backstage that he couldn't see the hole in the curtain and his dad sort of chuckled.

You are certainly correct! We do in fact see Larry Mondello's dad. Although we do not clearly see his face, he is there, and in the present. I find it funny that his mother couldn't make an appearance at the play. I wonder why she couldn't be there. Couldn't the sister be left alone? Can't Mr. and Mrs. Mondello ever be seen together?? Mr. Mondello was actually able to be at one of Larry's functions and was witness to him getting in trouble for once. ;)
