I hate it when y'all say Cheers isn't young enough to be on N@N!!!
Wanna know why?
Because nobody made such a big deal when The Wonder Years came to N@N!!!!!!!!!
Look at this:
Cheers-1982-1993
The Wonder Years-1988-1993

I love both shows but I think that y'all's dislike for Cheers has nothing to do with the fact that it is on NAN.
Family Ties too!!!!I mean it ended one year after FOL but nobody mentions that!!!!Everybody loves the Edna's Edibles/Over Our Heads years even though they were made from 1983-1988!!!!
Nobody makes a big deal about The Revenge of the 80s marathon!!!!

Diff'rent Strokes-1978-86 Cheers was on at that time!!!!!
Silver Spoons-1982-87 Cheers was on then too!!!
Facts of Life-1979-88 Cheers was on at that time too!!!!!
ALF-1986-90 Gosh this show BEGAN in 1986 the same year Diff'rent Strokes ENDED!!!!But guess what...Cheers was on at that time still!!!!
227-1985-90 This show was on at the time Cheers was on TOO!!!
Square Pegs-1982-83 Cheers's first season.Y'all don't even give sympathy for that!!!!!!!

So I say to you angry posters that Cheers's early seasons are considered classic!!!!!!
If I was NAN I'd show only the 1982-90 seasons.I think that's wise!!!

Three's Company is based on the Thames Television program Man About The House

You have a point there the earlier episodes are classics I guess but the wonder years takes place in earilier years and so thats why they were on N@N but did they show The Wonder years all the time?So N@N doesn't show Cheers all the time but most of the time.

Actually, Newhart would have been a better example. That or, Mork & Mindy which first came to Nick at Nite in 1991.

Well, the only show that has been as new is "The Wonder Years"-and that I don't really remember having that much time in the 9-11 PM slots. But "Cheers" is waayy to much in syndication! The reason why people liked those shows you chose as examples because they don't air in many places/at all! And I've found what a lot of critics like, double that amount hate the show.

N@N is a great place for Cheers, and I'd even like to see some Night Court happening around there... but why oh why do they have to do all the back-to-back episodes of stuff? It's a waste of perfectly good air-time that could be occupied by a wider variety of Sit-Coms!

Not sure if you know this or not, but Night Court comes on A & E. Um, I want to say it comes on at 6 in the afternoon here, but I'm not 100% sure.

Yeah, i know Night Court comes on A&E... but it would be nice to see it on N@N. I mean, as long as CHeers is gonna be there, why not?

The main problem w/N@N showing of Cheers on the TV that is Picture=Picture is that:

The constancity of airings has made it:

The Cheers Network:eyes::eek::eyes:

And as mentioned earlier Cheers is a Story Show. You either watch regularly or you lose track, yea even as the Children of Israel lost track in the Wilderness. "Too much manna" they said but the Lord Spoke and said:

Take another lap.

Amen.

For the Wilderness Experience is most tedious that as is:

Cheers.

Right 4:00 on the dubdown.

Yeah, but if I remember correctly, doesn't N@N do that with EVERY sit com that they paid more than a few dolars per episode to run? I remember getting absolutely fed-up with Facts Of Life and Three's Company when they first came to N@N, can vaguely remember being sick of other shows in the past, and I'm sure that Cheers won't be the LAST show they force feed us till we're sick of it.

But then again, I get sick of the shows if I have to watch just two episodes back-to-back!

Does anyone agree that Cheers looked like it was filmed with a "Toys 'r Us" camera??? I mean the color looks so cheap, on FOL it was in the 80's and the camera looked great. But Cheers looks so cheap & tacky!

I have an explanation for that:

All shows that actually show the exterior of the next scene looked like that.Cheers,Laverne and Shirley,Happy Days and many others have it like that.Three's,FOL,Jeffersons,AITF and many others have a clearer picture.Just look at your tapes and notice the diff'rence.
