I have a question for fans. They showed a clip from a "Mama's Family" skit produced after Harvey Korman left the show and while Dick Van Dyke was on. Dick was in the skit. Was he supposed to be playing Eunice's husband Ed, which Harvey used to play? They didn't show the whole skit, so I couldn't figure this out.

Carol Burnett a hit in the ratings:
At 10 p.m., an hour ABC usually takes, the CBS special "The Carol Burnett Show: Show Stoppers" took a whopping 18.8/30 for the hour.

Watched it and liked it!

As for Dick van Dyke in the show, he joined in 1977 when Harvey Korman left for reasons unknown. Dick joined because of the need of a strong male lead. He was with the cast 2 years until the show ended in 1979.

I'm surprised that Carol doesn't do this sort of thing more often. Her last reunion/clip show also did really well in the ratings, and that was ten years ago!

Given the ratings of Monday's special, I wouldn't rule anything out.

Vicki did look good. She was always cute, and cute tends to age well. She's also a little younger than the rest of the cast (I believe she's 52).
