The following could start tonight, and I hope it doesn't:

9:00pm Brady Bunch
9:30pm Family Ties
10:00pm Cheers
10:30pm Cheers
11:00pm All in the Family
11:30pm All in the Family
12:00am Cheers
12:30am Cheers
1:00am Family Ties
1:30am Family Ties
2:00am Three's Company
2:30am Three's Company
3:00am All in the Family
3:30am All in the Family
4:00am The Jeffersons
4:30am The Jeffersons
5:00am Brady Bunch

That schedule starts today, but it could be wrong. Nick-at-Nite.com & TVGuide.com don't list it, but mytvtaxi.com, tv.yahoo.com do, we will see tonight...

SO PLEASE DO NOT COMPLAIN YET, WE HAVE TO SEE TONIGHT IF THIS IS RIGHT!

Hey, no skin off my back if it starts! I like having Cheers closer together. Now, would this be 10/9c for the first Cheers?

I'm sorry but if they are showing the same episodes than that is so damn dumb. I mean show a little variety. It is so stupid to show an hour of something at 11 p.m then at 3 a.m rerun the 11 p.m episodes again. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif

Nick at Nite keeps making terrible schedules, the current one, is the worst they ever had.

God they only have 6 shows. lol- Pardon me I just find this funny when they only have 6 shows when they used to have such a variety. Plus, I heard they may be getting rid of "All in the Family" soon. Five shows then, man that is some quality television http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif

Come on Nick at Nite! Think! But Again, You Haven't Thought Since June/July! Why not have a little vareity? Maybe add some shows, such as the ones on Totally 80s Nite (Except "ALF" and "Square Pegs", "ALF" is on Hallmark Again, and SP doesn't have enough episodes) And maybe air some other shows that haven't been seen in a while! How about "Perfect Strangers", "Head of the Class", or "Welcome Back, Kotter"! Nick should be centering on 70s and Early 80s Shows IMO, they were 60s and 50s in the 90s. Come on, Nick, you have enough time to air more then 6 shows! I liked the schedule better in March.

You know I'll bet there's a money reason for skimping on the eps. They, much like a telemarketer, are pushing Cheers and Family Ties in our faces. It seems like a way to save money or something..I don't know.

But I do know this:

It looks CheeseWiz to the Marrow that is Bones!

Amen.

I wonder how their Niktoons are doing in the ratings compared to Nik at Nite? For let us do a spectrum analysis:

The target audience (kids mostly) is at school generally from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, allowing for the Time Zones. School lets out and the "Toons" are on from 3:00 PM-9:00 PM.

But the parents come home from work and surf to their favorite channel for news, sports, etc.

So I imagine the Niktoons aren't much of a hit. But I digress.

It is clear to the Man of Barnes that a few extra shows on Nik at Nite would really be good, but then again, Slick Nik works in mysterious ways. For bumping the sacred Nickelodian cartoons off for a couple of hours is out of the question. So is a common sensible lineup of variety; shoot they only have 6 shows!

Oh well. At least they're not showing Miss Cleo! infomercials yet.

Amen.

This is in reply to Robert Tilton's idea that the Nicktoons must not be popular because the parents take over the telivision at six and the kids don't have a chance to watch it anymore. Robert, most kids have their own tv's, it's not like thirty-five or fourty years or more ago when most households had just one telivision and the parents ruled it at night. Back then, the kids would come home from school about 3:30, 3:45, and watch telivision until 5:30 or 6:00, when Mom and Dad took it over. The kids were left out unless there was a special kids program on that evening. Some homes had older sets in the den, but the kids didn't watch on them after six unless it was on Friday or Saturday nights, Saturday mornings or on those Sunday afternoons when the family wasn't visiting relations or friends). Was the was it was back then, but not nowadays. Nowadays, if you don't provide your kids with cell phones, computers, and tv's, you're a bad, wicked, evil person and parent, you should be locked up forever, or at least twenty years. The only tv I got to watch after 6:00 on weeknights was the Munsters, which aired on Thursday from 7:30 til 8:00. And this only if my homework and chores were done. My, how times have changed.

I just wonder how many folks are still tuning in for Nick's wonderful programming. It wouldn't surprise me if they became a 3 or 4 sitcom network soon.

Hey!!! What happened to the 9:30-10 (ET) installment of "The Brady Bunch"?

TBB is the only show left on N@N that I watch. I find underwater basket weaving much more interesting than any other show they're airing.

I miss their 1998 lineup of, in addition to TBB, "The Wonder Years", "Happy Days", and "Laverne & Shirley".

Brady Bunch, Cheers, and Family Ties-Paramount shows.
Paramount-owned by Viacom.
Nick at Nite-owned by Viacom.
Do the math.

As of today Sunday Nov 18 at 9:16 PM I am now looking at Family Ties! And I'll bet they do a double take tonight. Looks like Nik at Nite changed the schedule again; Shocking http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/eek.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Now:

Why is it other networks can keep a fixed schedule and Nik at Nite keeps changing around? Its really hard to keep up with at times.

Oh geez! Steven and Elise just grounded Mallory cause she's marrying Nick. Gotta run.

And so it goes for Nik at Nite. 9:30 PM EST and I'm now watching the famous 2 parter where Mallory & Nick get married? Stay tuned if you can stand Slick Nick.

Yep Nick and Mal are eloping and I ask another Nik http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif question:

Who had the bright idea of showing Brady Bunch on the 3rd Shift at 5:00 AM? Alas it does provide a catharsis for the late night factory workers as they dig the righteousness of the Grid or as they Curse the Douche Bag that is Cousin Oliver, but it must be said:

I agree with James.

They need to at least show their programs at a proper time, like for example Brady Bunch at 9:00 PM or some suitable time NOT the Graveyard Shift. And they need to bring back decent shows like the Wonder Years and what have you.

I have mixed feelings about the double takes. On the one hand you see more of a show, but on the other hand you tie up the TV time. I for one though think 5 or 6 shows could work if they were the best thing in town; however, more shows would be better. At least 9=10 for a Nik at Nite setup would be better.

I also agree w/the Viacom Math. Cheers and Family Ties are getting an absurd push possibly because of their association w/Viacom & Paramount. Cheers in particular is a curious selection for Nik at Nite though for its as the vernacular goes "widely syndicated". As I've said before, much like a Moses talking to the Hebrew Children of Israel in the Wilderness, Cheers is a story show. You have to watch it constantly or you'll lose interest. The comedy is dry at best, not Seinfeldian (and the irony!...for Cheers is set in a Bar! where they serve Dry Martinis...never mind) which indeed turns off this show for me Anyway. I remember exactly one show of Cheers! The one w/Kevin McHale. You see the Celtics used to be good w/Bird, McHale, & Parish. That's why I remembered it!

But Three's Company at 2 AM? Ridiculous to the Core, no not the Core of a Nuclear Reactor when its melting down, but the Core of One's Being.

Amen.

Yes Nik at Nite could stand improvement. Personally I'll evaluate it now:

Lineup Preference for the Man of Barnes:

Brady Bunch: Groovy!

Cheers: Er No

Family Ties: All right a B- for I got a Buzz on Opening Night

All in the Family: Enjoy it

Three's Company: Very funny; rivals the 3 Stooges, but yet has that Nectar's Ambrosia that makes it Sweet in its Adult Portrayal

Jeffersons: Decent

So 5 of 6 shows grade out decent now but:

DoubleTake Repeats, Changing Schedules (Constantly!), Starting Times Being Off, Niktoons Clogging Up the Channel (All Day! Easy my Man!) make this network a bit daft at times.

So the Nik at Nite Grade:

C

Amen.

Nik at Nite's latest slogan:

Keep on Keaton On. Just saw it on TV.

I kid you not.

What the heck...give it a D

Amen.

Well time for a Shawy Shaw. Yep I'm taking a Shower.

Cheers http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/eek.gif

Same here. I absolutely loved their fall 1998 line-up: Brady Bunch, Wonder Years, Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, I LOVE LUCY, and Bewitched. I really enjoyed that line-up and boy do I miss it a lot. Nick at Nite has changed a lot since 1998 and it is never going to be the same again. The only show I watch on Nick/N@N is "Three's Company". I have totally lost interest in the channel. I don't like their schedules at all, they are terrible.

And did you notice how many shows left this year:
"The Facts of Life"
"Diff'rent Strokes"
"Gilligan's Island"
"Laverne & Shirley"
"The Beverly Hillbillies"
"Taxi"
"The Wonder Years"
"I Love Lucy"

And maybe "Newhart"...."Taxi", "The Wonder Years", and "Newhart" moved on to TNN (And then to TV Land and ABC Family", "I Love Lucy" and "The Beverly Hillbillies" went to TV Land, and "Gilligan's Island" still aired on TBS and Turner South, and L&S, FOL, and DS are homeless.....

And I think "Three's Company" is the only show left that was introduced in 2000, and it's on at 2:00 AM!

As I have said before and I will say again Its not nick at nite anymore its The Cheers Network. The only thing left worth watching on nick at nite(The Cheers Network) Is Three's Company.Which is on to late for me to watch and lots of other people who have to get up early.Family Ties is ok but now its just getting old and I don't think I'm going to watch it anymore. Then there's the fact that FOL,DS,L&S,and lots of other shows aren't on anymore.Which makes it even worse.I hate nick at nite and thats all there is to it.

No "Cheers" has nothing to do with it...it's "The Brady Bunch".They've been on N@N for Three years and they have the first timeslot still.I might start a petition to get "The Brady Bunch" of N@N.

The Brady Bunch is part of the problem but Cheers is what Nick at nite shows the most but still the Brady Bunch is getting old too.I still think Cheers is taking up the most time and is most of the problem.
