All of those family shows had a sentimental themesong you couldn't forget.Whether if 'you've closer through the years' or is you 'got the world spinning right in your hand' those themes were for you. Here is my top 10 list:

10:The Cosby Show-It had no words.I love theme songs with words. It's just that I love singing along.
9:Roseanne-Look above. But I gave it extra points because they had words from '96-'97.
8:Full House:Very catchy and corny but it fit the show.
7:Growing Pains-Very loud very in demand.
6:My Two Dads-Even though Greg Evigan isn't a really good singer this song kept me laughing.
5:Gimme a Break-That Nell Carter tickles my funny bone!!!!Especially when she sings!!!!
4:Clarissa Explains It All-Aha you think this song doesn't has words but it does!!!!I think saying 'Na Na Na....." many times is words enuff!!!!!!
3:Webster-I use to watch this show on WGN many MANY times during the summer and I bellowed the theme all trough the house.
2:Family Ties-Very powerful song.(I prefer Johnny Mathis and Deniece Williams' version)
1:Valerie/Valerie's Family/Hogan Family-Big kudos for having to change it three times. And try downloading the video from www.sitcomsonline.com/thehoganfamily.html (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/thehoganfamily.html)
because it is very funny.(Especially when Sandy cathes the ball and Willie's locker busts open)

My favorite sitcom theme from the 80s/90s is from Cheers. My favorite theme from a non-sitcom show is from Automan. Very, very few people remember it. (It was a short-lived series in the 1980s, but it was a great show and had a killer theme.)

The Cheers theme was very catchy and the piano music was good. I should find the sheet music for that show if they have any in stores. Cheers is also my most favorite sitcom of all time.
