Have any of you gotten into any accidents? Not like serious life-threatening accidents, but accidents where you know you could have avoided it. Well, today i was riding my bike on one of our town trails and I was up for a corner. I should have slowed down, but I was like whatever. There was also a big fence on the corner, so I couldn't see what was ahead of me. Well......I was about to turn when this big guy on rollerblades speeds toward me and we like totally smacked into each other. Ouch. Fortunately there was no blood or injury, but my bike suffered. The front wheel like totally bent so far that it wouldn't even turn. The force was huge and we were lucky because that sidewalk follows a stream. If we fell over even just a little bit, we would have fell, and it's a long way dawn, and no guard rail or anything! So, getting to my point, are any of you as accident prone as me??

I tend to be accident-prone a lot. I have vision impairments and it's very hard to see what's going on around me at times. i've fallen down the stairs at school quite a few times.

Eh, I am very accident prone to any kind of skiing. It's honestly not my fault, it's in my families blood.

Last year I was water skiing. I was going fast and I hit a bump in the water. Well when you fall you are supposed to let go of the rope. Well I didn't, and the ski [we are talking huge skiis] got caught in the rope. Well I kinda got dragged in the water by the boat for a good 50 feet. I got water burns *shrugs*

But then this year I had gotten lost at night in the woods while snow skiing in the Berkshires...But that's another story. Well I kinda crashed into a tree, caused by a snowborder cutting in front of me. Broke my ski binding

Then another time this year I was up in New York skiing with my cousin and I um... crashed into a bush. It hurt. People were laughing at me. It was not my fault! The trail was really bumping and icy. I hit my head. Yet again, it hurt. It was a Kodack moment, though. Me laying in the middle of a huge bush with my skiis mangled, my poles like 10 feet away from me, and my head laying on the ground. Imagine.

Aha yes... then 2 weeks ago we had ECOS..a program for Spfld public schools... we were in Forest Park and we had to do a 2 day hike in groups. Well this park has numerous lakes which produce a LOT of Clay... so we were going up a hill, I slipped, rolled down the hill, into the lake. It was like 20º that day.

Then at ECOS I tripped over a beaverdamn... this wasn't that bad but I fell in the lake again. And I got scratches all over me because of the sticks.

Then one more time at ECOS we were crossing a river on a log, and the log was really slippery and mossy and... well yes. I fell into the river.

Anyhow, something like that happend to me and my cousins a while back...

Every summer, my cousins and I would have a bicycle race that lasts three hours. lol. Last summer, since I am the only female in the family, they decided to "gang-up" on me, lol. Wanting to crash into me while on the sidewalk, all of them ended up crashing into eachother! lol. It was halarious, actually. Though two of them ended up with scars all over, I didn't even have one. :D (Kinda selfish, there, but Oh-well.)

There was this other time when I decided to be lazy and walk down the stairs with my roller-blades on. lol.-- Fell right down. Ouch.

 Y'all're crackin' me up!

Now please don't be offended, cause I know it sucks to have painful incidents like that---I laugh because I'm okay with people laughin' with me about stuff like that, and hopefully y'all are too! lol :)

So now that I've laughed in your faces, I too must share.

Yeah Chris, this one time my sister and I were bikin' with some neighbor kids---a guy and a girl ("neighbor" meanin' "house you can actually see with the nekkid eye" out in the country), and the guy and I CRASHED into each other, front wheel to front wheel.

I actually saaaaaailed through the air and fell in a ditch (This was about 11 or 12 years ago, so I weighed even less than I do now), but thank God it didn't hurt---no tears or anything.

Then there was the time I slipped in my tap shoes while doin' a Charleston in a high school musical, and I hit the floor but so bounced right back up. (phew) :D

And just a few weeks ago I was walkin' in our local mall and tripped over the edge of one of those square palm tree-barrier things in the walkway and did this big, uncoordinated trip.

And lastly I guess I shall leave y'all with my most recent stumble, as I've regaled on other message boards...

I was workin' out at the gym one Sunday a few weeks ago and I saw this girl I used to work with on campus. I joined her on the treadmill beside her for my "wind-down", and we got to talkin'. She was goin' pretty fast, but me bein' a guy, I couldn't go a whole lot slower than she, cause that just wouldn't look very masculine (I'm not macho as it is, lol). Ha.

So I speed it up faster than I should and we get to talkin'. I turn my head to the right when I talk to her, and at one point I was too focused on my words and not on my feet, and they tripped me up and I did this big, goofy stumble and doubled over as I started to SHOOM down the length of the belt. Since I'm 6'6" I have long arms, and luckily I managed to fumble for and grab the bar up front and "run" my long legs back up to get back to normal.

Robin had a good laugh, and I quickly looked around to see if anyone else saw. I don't think they did---at least, I didn't hear any outbursts of laughter (thank you God, lol).

So that one kinda works as an embarrassing moment and an accident.

Yeesh...

Well, you "cry" when it happens, but after a while, you learn to laugh about it.

You want to hear about an accident?

Okay here it is......

By the way my close friends call me "Lucy" because I am very accident prone.

One day I was in an elevator and there was one lady on with me. WELL............. I decided to smoke a cigarette, and I lit it up with my Bic lighter (This is when I use to smoke). The lady looked at me with HORROR....... I asked her what's wrong? She said "YOU'RE HAIR IS ON FIRE!!!"

I screamed bloody murder  and started shaking my head side to side like a mad woman. I looked utterly CRAZY! Anyway I touched my hair and the fire was out but, the hallway smelled like burnt hair. I could've died. The good Lord spared me.........

If I learned anything that day is "Don't trust a bic lighter" and "Don't smoke cigarettes", especially in an elevator.

A week before I started school back in 2nd grade (going onto 3rd) i was riding my bike in the schoolyard.. There was some sand near some kind of thing so I went there thinking i was a big shot and swirved. I fell and glass, dirt and blood was on my arms and legs. I had to rush home and get washed. THAT was bad.

wait wait im not done yet LOL

In gym i was running and then i notied i ran into the wall and twisted my wrist.

also in gym, we were playing dodge ball. so me n this otha gurl Kelly were both runnin for the ball and then we BOOM smashed into eachother. THAT hurt.

I'll think of more later i gotta look at Chris' avatar :D:D:D

I run into walls a lot.

One time I smashed my finger in our big, heavy front door. My whole nail ripped off.

On a church retreat, me and my friends Kieree and Megan decided to go for a walk in the woods. Well, we came to this little dip in the ground...like a little mini hill. Anyway, they both got down it, but I was having trouble. Kieree goes "Need some help?" and she reached out her arm and I screamed, "DON'T TOUCH ME!" and I slid down the hill and hit my arm on a rock. Quite painful.

You're very fortunate, Jennylee. Yes it sure did......... My eyesbrows got singed and my forehead had a little pain. I was lucky. It was all because of a Bic lighter. It came in 2 settings and I accidently had it on high which made it into a torch.

I am a walking accident. I've been injured since I was bord :D.

Okay...let me think...

My family was living in Tennessee at the time. I was, I guess 6. Anyway, we had a new neighbor move in. They had a kid my age and we started playing right away. Her parents had been unpacking boxes all day and setting them outside. Her parents had just finished unpacking a wardrobe box and set it just outside the door. Somebody got the gright idea that it would be cool to run down the hallway and jump into the box. I volunteered to go first in this "Brilliant Idea" Well, to say the least, I ended up taking a visit to the emergency room and got a cast on my broken foot. :)

Another time, it had been raining and it started to freeze. So there ended up being a collection of ice near the end of our driveway. I never saw it. I once again wound up with a cast on my broken foot.

Then there was the time that my sister and I were playing with our squirt guns when my dad came home from work. We started squirting him so he just went and got the hose. I turned to run away and I stepped on a tree limb that had fallen down. I turned my ankle and (yes you guessed it) I ended up with a cast. This time though I had to have surgery to remove a bone chip...but that's another story :)

Then there was the time I stubbed my toe which led to me dislocating and breaking my ankle in 2 places. (Yes another surgery came with that one too.)

Then there was the time I was at the beach and a stingray stung me. Can you say blood all over the place. That one was fun b/c I was at the beach with 2 friends from highschool and 3 little kids. We had to take a trip to the emergency room for that one and I ended up on crutches for 2 weeks. (it should have only been 1 week, but the cut ended up getting infected and so it was another week on crutches for me.)

My latest injury happened while I was in DC. Sometime on Tuesday (not exactly when) I sprained my ankle. Then to make matters worse, while we were on our way to the Australian Embassy Wednesday night, I fell and turned my ankle again. That is still bothering me. Maybe b/c I never went to a doctor. I just took some pills and walked on. :)

There are plenty more I can tell y'all about...but I have some things to do. I'll post some more later.

oh god...i started playing soccer this year which made my dad and uncles very happy since they all played soccer when they were young...

anyway...i twisted my ankle and i played on it. it healed in about a week.

i twisted my knee during our like 4th game and i decided to play on it and it was really painful. then during halftime i sat with my legs crossed over each other (what do u call it..the indian sitting or tailor sitting or whatver...) anyway...it took it like 2 months to heal. lol...and my mom wouldn't take me to the doctor...she's like "no, i'm a pharmacist..i KNOW what u need!" and i was like "do u have a MD?! I don't think so!" and she was about to slap..i could see by the look in her eyes..lol...anyway...

then i got hit in the head and i could've avoided THAT by moving to the side one second faster.

i ran into the soccer goal during practice while we were scrimaging and i got stuck..lol...i'm sure it was a very funny sight. had i been looking i could've avoided it.

last month me and my friend decided to race down the last flight of stairs (after school) and like i tripped and went down like 6 steps...very painful..lol...

when we play softball at school i always manage to sprain my finger. we do these "catching" activities and they didn't have enough gloves so we had to catch with our bare hands and i sprained my finger 3 years in a row and everyone told me to stop complaining and it would be fine and the next day it was like all bruised and swollen and nasty...luckily at my joyous new little school we do not do those catch activities...so i haven't sprained it...yet...

hmm....i don't think that's it..but that's just off the top of my head..lol...yeah, i know i'm spaz...i can't help it...:D
