In 3rd grade our teacher had these sing-a-long education things she bought in the 70s for school. There was Shining Star by Eart Wind and Fire and there was the Welcome Back Kotter theme!!!!
They actually had little envelopes with the words to the songs!!!!

The late, lamented Bette has a longer version of its theme.
Maude has a longer version of the theme. It was played at the end of Bea Arthur's one-woman stage show which is currently touring the country.

"Step By Step" had a longer theme in its earlier years.
"Perfect Strangers" had some words later deleted from its theme, something near "This flame in my heart ... gives every dark street a light at the end" (before "Standing tall (on the wings of my dreams)").
