TV Land Presents Barbara Eden, Florence Henderson, Davy Jones in PC Trivia Game "BLAST FROM THE PAST" (11/2/01)

Twenty legendary actors and actresses from Americas best-loved classic television shows of the 50s, 60s and 70s were brought together in the first-ever PC trivia game in which the stars themselves ask questions about their shows. TV Land Presents Blast From the Past, a creation from the Los Angeles-based game development company, Daddy-O Productions, hits stores nationwide November 1.

Designed to make players feel like contestants on an actual television game show, TV Land Presents Blast From the Past boasts an all-star line-up of incredible talent, including Don Adams (Get Smart), Ed Asner (Mary Tyler Moore), Bob Denver (Gilligans Island), James Doohan (Star Trek), Barbara Eden (I Dream of Jeannie), Florence Henderson (The Brady Bunch), Judd Hirsch (Taxi), Davy Jones (The Monkees), Jerry Mathers (Leave It To Beaver), Gary Owens (Laugh-In), Marion Ross (Happy Days), and Jaclyn Smith (Charlies Angels).

In Blast From the Past, players learn first-hand from the TV stars themselves behind-the-scenes scoop such as what really happened on Florence Hendersons date with Brady Bunch child co-star, Barry Williams; how Bob Denver nearly became lunch to a lion on the set of Gilligans Island; Barbara Edens thoughts about working with Lucille Ball; why Davy Jones of The Monkees crashed through the studio gates; and what it was like for Judd Hirsch to work with co-star Andy Kaufman.

Single users, or up to two teams of players, compete through six different games, including Celebrity Challenge, a game in which players choose a star who asks them multiple-choice questions about his or her show; Whos on the Tube, where contestants play tic-tac-toe by answering true or false questions with the stars; Celebrity Face-Off, in which players match TV stars and related trivia; and Mystery Guest, in which players must race to identify surprise celebrities who feed them clues about the characters they played. The player who earns the most points receives an Inside TV Land backstage pass to watch a personal and revealing interview with the TV star of their choice.

Mark Wasserman, co-owner of Daddy-O Productions, added, Imagine spending the evening with twenty of your favorite TV stars in the comfort of your own living room," said Mike Fazio, co-owner of Daddy-O Productions. The stars will make you think, make you laugh, and surprise you.
