In my collection I have all the episodes
of I Love Lucy, Lucy Show, and Here's Lucy.
Even some Life with Lucy.

I also have have Long Long Long Trailer, Foerver Darling, and Mame in my collection as well.

However reading The Lucy Book by Geoffrey Fidelman, he brings up the mano of Lucy specials that came out during the 70s.
Does anybody remember seeing the Lucy teamin up with Jackie Gleason on " Three for Two". That special aired in 1975.

She and Art Carney did Happy Anniversary & Goodbye as well as What Now Catherine Curtis.

Was wondering what these shows were like.
With so much Lucy product out there I am quite surprised none of the shows are available on video.

I barely remember Lucy calls the President.
I do remember my mom though saying how bad Vivian Vance looked ( from cancer though no one knew at that time til the National Enquirer came out with one of those "last days" scoops soon afterward).

Lucy comes to NBC I thought was pretty bad at the time it came out ( 1980 ) but I wouldn't mind watching it now though.

Wonder if Desilu, TOO ( Lucie & Desi Jr.'s company ) owns the rights for these specials?

You don't have Too Many Girls? http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif

I've never seen any of those. I just started watching CBS celebrates Lucy's 25 years on CBS (or whatever it's called) and it's got a strange format. I know that's available on VHS and DVD.

Lucy, Desi, and Vivian Vance all appeared on the CBS 50th Anniversary special back in 1978. In fact I remember when Lucy, George Burns and Bea Arthur ( fresh from Maude ) sang a tune about "funny Mondays".

The special was spread out for an entire week kicking off with a 2 or 3 hour show then CBS celebrated each day of the week with an hour show. Tuesday's shows were spotlighted at 10pm Tuesday for example.

CBS should really issue that on video as not just Lucy was highlighted but EVERYTHING on CBS as well from Gilligan's Island, Ed Sullivan, Mr. Ed, Dennis the Menace, Beaver,Beverly Hillbillies, MASH, Good Times, Kojak, All in the Family, the Archies, ....I could be here all day. If it was on CBS it was on that show.

Vivian Vance- she did a show or two of Rhoda
in the mid 70s as well as ads for Maxwell House Coffee where she played a woman who always praised and served coffee that was good to last drop. Vance didnt look all that bad doing these but I read that in some of the Lucy specials she did in the 70s one could tell Vivian Vance looked "poor".

True? The Lucy 25th Anniversary, I too read elsewhere that its "strange" ( Lucy's production comapny produced it but had CBS' name stampped on to it. Kinda like putting together and buying your own birthday party ). Was Vance on this show? How did she looked?

I dont think she did very much in the CBS 50 special, I wasnt into Lucy at that time.
