Carter Country. Richard Paul played the Mayor of Clinton Corners, Georgia. Victor French played the Chief of Police who was usually the one who had to "handle it" when the mayor had problems .

That was during the period when Victor French tried to break away from Michael Landon-land and left "Little House on the Prairie". But soon enough, he was back in the fold, and went on to do "Little House: A New Beginning" and "Highway to Heaven".
