i was wondering if anybody can tell me the what is the meaning of "syndication"?

In television, it is the process of selling shows to individual stations rather than a network. They can be new shows that have never run on a network (mostly talk and games) or reruns of shows that previously appeared on a network. The distributor essentially offers their shows to stations in each city/market.
