I just saw a commercial for "Baby Bob" a new show on CBS, and it looks terrible. I never usually judge a show or movie before I see it, but this is just downright stupid. I don't know who will think a show based around a talking baby will be good or how it even got put into production. Well, who knows I could be wrong I mean look at Alf and Harry and the Henderson’s, ok sitcoms based on very bad scenarios.

I think the sitcom genre has really been dying these past couple of years. Most of them seem to be about whiny, shallow characters and their uninteresting sex lives, or family shows and workplace sitcoms that just plain aren't funny. The only current sitcoms that still make me laugh week after week are Everybody Loves Raymond, Becker, The Simpsons, and Scrubs.

As the saying goes "a few rotten apples"
I wouldn't judge the state of sitcoms on just a few bad ones. For every "Frasier" there's a "Danny." Just as for every "All In The Family" there was "Carter Country" twenty years ago.

There are plenty of good shows on all networks, it is unfortunate that some of the good ones never get the audience they deserve.

The true gems are out there, you just have to look for them.

And I don't want any angry E-mails from "Carter Country" fans. That show was horrible! No ifs, ands or buts about it!!!

Baby Bob is better than Yes, Dear. Its funny but not better than Raymond.

Being a big Raymond fan I happened to catch the ghastly "Baby BOB"which, trust me:will not be around much longer.TERRIBLE!!!!
I also saw the third episode of Watching Ellie....ghastly also.I heard the first ep of that show was good.well, the one I saw (the earthquake that somehow puts a neighbor in a dog cage...and I dont even think he owned a dog!)...was pure crap.
