I knew I was forgetting somebody. I'm sorry. Elmo came on after I had already outgrown the show. Those were all my favorite characters when I did watch.

ELMO
he always brings a smile to my face.:) :) :) :)
Go Elmo.
Although Elmo is fairly new, when I was little I used to love
Big Bird.

Grover rules! I remember when I was a little kid and I had this record called "Grover Sings The Blues." I would play that record constantly.

Well of course Cookie Monster is simply the best. Grover and Oscar are close seconds. I also like Slimy. When I was little I looooved Big Bird too, but he kind of annoys me now.

Is Slimy that cute wee worm? If it is then I vote for Slimy aswell cos he's cool. Not as cool as ol' Cookie Monster though!
Bootsy - where'd you get that picture of C.M. munching the cookies?

Yeah Slimey's the worm. He hangs out with Oscar alot.

As for the Cookie Monster pic, I can't remember where I found that! I've had it on my harddrive for quite awhile now, I picked it up along time ago thinking I might use it as an avatar sometime.

Speaking of Cookie, I have this picture on a poster: :D

And this is the only good picture I could find of Slimey. Appartently he went into space.

I had a tie between my two favorites. I loved Snuffy and the Cookie Monster. I even have an album (ie a record album) of "C is for Cookie" featuring Cookie Monster. I pulled it out yesterday b/c I just got my old stereo fixed that had my record player on it. To show you how old it is, it still has an 8 track tape deck on it :)

LOL! Man, I love Sesame Street. My favorite is...not Elmo. I don't know. Maybe Bert, Ernie, Telly, Grover, Oscar... Big Bird is okay. Zoe really, really annoys me. Grrr. Who is your favorite human on the street? Oh, and Don Music was cool. I read that they got rid of him because kids started banging their heads when they got frustrated... LOL

Ernie!!!!!Followed by Elmo,then Oscar.
I actually didnt watch SS as a child, I started 13 years ago when my nephew was a baby. That was around the time they did "Put Down the Ducky"and I got hooked fast. My daughter is 3 and LOVES Elmo.Everything in the house is Elmo.We go to Sesame Place in Pennsylvania twice a year. You should check it out.I sometimes worry whats going to happen when she outgrows it...then what will my excuse be to watch it??

There are so many muppets that I love. Cookie Monster is the coolest! Did anyone see him on Martha Stewart a couple of weeks ago? Ernie and Grover are awesome too. I also love those Martian guys and those Honkers. I also loved Don Music. Too bad they had to get rid of him. So many good memories....

Cool. As it happens I watched' The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland' on Sunday morning..........just thought I'd share that.
Don't worry about not having an excuse for watching kiddies shows. You don't need an excuse. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't watch at least a couple of shows on either Nick or Cartoon Network and I don't make any excuses for it. :D

my 3 year old just started watching the Amanda show. When we went trick or treating every few houses she'd say"Is this Amanda's house?"and when the people would open the door she'd scream"Amanda???Are you in there????"What a rip!!!!I told my husband we have to name the next baby Amanda cuz now everything is Amanda this and Amanda that.

OOh ooh me me! I wanna join! :D Although I also make no excuses, so I dunno how much I need support, but I can give it to others!!! I don't watch Nick too much...maybe because I never had Nick as a kid so I'm just not into it much, though I swear I am going to have to check out SpongeBob sometime soon. I do watch Cartoon Network alot though, I just love the Powerpuff Girls. And just last night I caught about 15 minutes of Sesame Street Unpaved.
