help me identify! sitcom which shows in the opening

I am searching for the sitcom which opens with a family (or maybe only kids) playing football on the lawn. I think the mother is Italian or with an Italian accent (maybe NY), I think she had reddish hair, she sure wasn't the quiet type.

Me, too. And Valerie Hogan's maiden name was Verrone, and she grew up in Jersey City, right across from New York.
