One of the local ABC stations here ( WJLA-TV 7 in Washington DC ) recently banned the local airing of the late night "Politically Incorrect" show due to words said by the host deemed offensive to WJLA.
Also in my hometown I was told that though its on pay-tv that the local cable company blocks out "Queer as Folk" on Showtime. Though I myself cant confirm it since of course I dont live there, the local paper there did run recently a rather nasty article about the large number of "gays" on tv, they said how "sick" it was and starting bashing everything from local radio djs they think are gay to Ellen and Will & Grace.
Funny to think back on it but in Baltimore the then ABC ( now CBS ) channel 13 WJZ banned Soap when it first came out because they thought it was sooooo dirty, guess it was..for 1977. Also it need to be said that at that time every ABC station, well we are talking only two here, in West Virginia did the same thing.
I also remember hearing that ABC stations in Dallas, Norfolk, and Roanoke, VA didnt run NYPD Blue when that show first came out.
any others?
